The Gluten-Free thing sometimes gets a little crazy. We've made a game of looking for the oddest gluten-free products. Our favorites so far are hand soap, potatoes, wine, and yes, gluten-free water!

I tried the pumpkin spiced tea (a friend bought it) and I did not care for it at all!

This time of year, I like to hunt for the weirdest pumpkin spice flavored thing I can find. Last year's winners were pumpkin spice goat cheese, pumpkin spice pringles, pumpkin spice iced tea, and pumpkin spice hand soap.

I would totally buy the broccoli tots or cauliflower ones - I made them from scratch once and they were a pain in the butt - and then were eaten really quickly. But the cauliflower rice - if it was cheap enough maybe to avoid the mess it makes of my food processor, but otherwise easy enough to do at home.

While in a supermarket I saw a little girl swinging her arms and singing "Oh, my darlin Clementine." It was so cute and brought smiles all over.

I've enjoyed reading all these responses!
(and glad you weren't "dinner" at Yellowstone! I have seriously wondered about some of the potential interactions between bikes, motorcycles and wildlife. I don't believe I would like to meet a bison in the middle of the road!!)

While riding two up on a Harley Davidson motorcycle through Yellowstone National Park, my husband and I were slowly moving down the road reading signs and watching wildlife. We saw a sign that said " If you see a bear, roll up your windows".
Glad we never saw a bear that trip. I could have been dinner.

I saw a TV commercial for pasta that's pre-cooked and can be heated in a microwave. Regular pasta takes only 10 minutes to cook on the stove, is likely much cheaper, and has a longer shelf life.

Many years ago when one of my sisters was working at a Meijer's, they had an overstock of aspirin. There was an end cap special made with the sign saying " Aspirin 25 cents a bottle." N Hardly anyone was buying it so my sister made a new sign saying, "Special 3 bottles for a dollar".....it sold out in about 30 minutes....even the manager's wife bought 6 bottles..

emoticon good one!

You brought to mind another good sign I encountered some years ago. Our local Krogers had avocados on sale, and the yellow special sale produce sign read:

4 for $5.00
regular price 1.25
You Save 0%
…. I just stood there laughing, and this other lady looked strangely at me, until I pointed the sign out to her....

I just saw riced beets, carrots and broccoli and spiral butternut squash. I don't have a spiralizer, but have no need to eat spiral vegetables. I feel cutting them myself is just fine. I'm not on a low carb diet and don't need to trick myself into thinking vegetables are something else. But, for someone on the go, I guess it's better than grabbing a cheeseburger.

Not long ago, I read on the Internet of a hot new Japanese product “Diet Water”! Apparently it was produced by a famous Japanese beer company...

The underside piece of a chicken breast sold as chicken tenders for more expensive. It's the worst part with a big tendon running through the middle.

So, a little unrelated, but I was camping this summer and saw a sign on the side of the road for "organic firewood" and thought it was hilarious!

I am fortunate in that I can get riced cauliflower for around $1. What I think is nuts are the spiraled vegetables like zucchini that are $5+ for a tiny amount. I did find a reasonably priced spiralizer but I figure buying the whole vegetable or fruit and cutting it up is a lot cheaper.

That is crazy! I tried the broccoli tots and laughed at myself for buying them. I liked the "riced" cauliflower but find my grater and fresh cauliflower does even better.

Laugh of the day when I went shopping: they now have bags of 1lb "designer" Cauliflower *pearls* and broccoli *pearls*...for $3.99 each. As best I can tell, its the stem parts, sort of finely cut up into 1/4 in pieces! Hmmm.... cauliflower and Broccoli were $1.49 lb! I've been wondering why all the broccoli heads come with short stems lately....!

What crazy *new* items have you noticed lately???
