This is a really good topic. I admit to using really good homemade mayo to make my traditional tuna salad. All of the light, etc, mayos I’ve tried were disappointing. Or commercial mayo sold here in the fridgerator aisle, by Maille, is as good as homemade. I add Dijon mustard, only enough mayo to hold it all together, celery, onions, salt, pepper and, if I’m feeling fancy, chopped nuts.

I like the tuna flaked with just a little lemon juice; alternatively, mixed with a small amount of pickle relish or even a spoonful of sliced olives.

I've mixed it with feta and Greek salad dressing; did an Asian tuna salad that had red cabbage, ginger, carrots, etc in it that used sesame oil and something else for the "sauce" I've also just mixed it with plain mustard and eaten it that way. The flavored tuna packs are relatively tasty as well. I hate all mayo so I have to get resourceful.

I love it with greek yogurt and mustard, and some chopped up egg. Super high protein too.

I add it plain to the top of a salad and mix it in with everything else. Sounds gross but tastes great.

I like it with mashed chickpeas or white cannellini beans and lemon juice and some mustard. If you need more moisture you can add mayo without it being overwhelming.

Avocado is a really good replacement. I mush it up and add a little garlic.

Have you tried it with Greek yogurt? Yummy!

Otherwise tuna casserole is always a favorite.

I eat tons of tuna salad, but I really don't like the light mayo. Any tuna ideas that doesn't include mayo at all?
