Matt,
Thanks. I was trying to be funny when I said you had someone on the "inside". I saw an earlier post where you mentioned that your wife was employed by SP.

Back to the thread subject matter, I did a set of pushups and crunches!

Bob,

I deleted it for you. I'm actually a "volunteer employee" for SP. I'm not paid, but my wife is paid for her work on here.

The double posts usually occur when you accidentally hit the post button twice. I've had it happen as well. I hit post and it appears nothing happens, so I hit it again. Next thing I know there's two posts. The beauty of tecnology huh? =)

Just noticed this thread. I did some speedwork this morning: 2 X 1600 meters @ 8:30 min, w/ 800 meter jog in between for a total of 5 miles (1 mile warmup and cooldown). Total exercise time: 49:53. Warm day, 80 degrees.

At work, we play soccer at lunchtime every tues and thurs. Got a lot of good players; it's really popular with some some of the guys I work with that are from elsewhere around the world (Somalia, Vietnam, Korea, Poland, India, China, etc.)

Anyway, I just started playing again a few weeks back, and today I didn't even check my watch till I'd been playing for 45 minutes! This is definitely a new record for me; usually I'm trying to figure out how much longer I can last against these guys.

My bursitis or fascitis or whatever made it tough to walk afterward, but it was worth it.

PS: we lost, 4-0, but it was a still a good game.

Give the world the best you've got anyway.

I braved the evil Billy Blanks again today too. I was proud of myself. I made it to fifteen minutes and didn't fall over or hit myself once. Combined with other calisthenics, elliptical and stationary bike, I cranked out a pretty intense 45 minute workout. I still hate Billy. He says he's trying to help me, but I think he's trying to kill me.

Sunday morning I had a 60 minute vigorous/technical Mountain Bike ride that was good for nearly 800 calories. The secret to a good ride is to stay in a gear that allows a rapid leg pump instead of a slow "torquey" leg pump. This also makes the steep technical climbs a breeze.

I have the one where you set the tensions and it is real good. The one that is just one tension you really have to go to keep heart rate up. It is effective though. Did 80 min on gazelle, 30 min on trampoline and strength trained.

Hi guys. Just thought I'd check this message board out. I do the elliptical machine daily. I do a 30 min programmed set followed by a programmed 20 min set.
It's a great cardio.

Is that Gazelle machine effective? I have a knock-off one in the garage and have not used it. In fact I was thinking about giving it away. It is kinds fun t oget on but have not put any serious effort into it. Its a little dusty right now. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this.

Made a new challenge for myself for 1-week. I have been very inconsistant with the SP goal calories. I keep letting myself off the hook everyday I "Goof" up. I keep saying I will start over tomorrow. Well, starting today I am going to bust b... and see if I really can keep all my goals for one straight week . wish me luck.

Who did what? Anyone get in some good exercise today?

Denise and I just got back from a quick bike ride back into the mountains. We actually got cut short cuz one of the many giant redwood trees fell and blocked the trail. We thought about climing over it, but if we slipped we reisked falling or losing our bikes down a 75 ft canyon. And neither of us were in the mood to risk our bikes! lol

Anyway, a good ride, burned just over 600 calories and enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings.
