I'm not an expert, but I don't consider the traditional yoga types as either cardio or strength -- they are more flexibility and stretching workouts designed to benefit the body so it can perform better at strength and cardio activities.

Some of the modern yoga workouts, though, have strength training or cardio aspects. These are really just strength or cardio programs that base movements off of traditional yoga, though.

There are also many types of yoga, some far more active than others. The Spark tracker gives a few options, including the power yogas.

We have separate entries in our Fitness Tracker for tracking yoga so you do not have to classify it as strength or cardio.

Yoga can have aspects of both but it isn't one or the other; it's yoga.

I've seen articles claiming yoga is strength training and others stating it's cardio.
