Personally, I have not. However, several members of my family do use the chewable to help with joint pain and sleeping,

My husband started taking it a few weeks ago. He said it made a difference shortly after he started taking it. It helps his joints, his energy level, his sleep and he has stopped taking his blood pressure medication because he doesn't need it any longer! A local pharmacist sells it and he had a 30 minute meeting with us before selling it to us about all the research he had done, why he went with the company he buys the product from and how to titrate his dose until he gets it to the best dose for him. He spoke of the side effects and gave him a list of medications that might react with it. He was very thorough with his research and with the information he gave us before giving us the CBD. He said he has been selling it for over a year and has sold a ton of it. I do think it is crucial that you do your research if you are going to start taking it because like anything else, there are scammers out there!! Good Luck!

I just started taking it (at night, after my workout and before bedtime, in a cup of herbal tea.) Too soon to say whether it's working, but figure it's worth a try. Nothing else has helped so far.

I use it both topically and orally and find it very effective in reducing pain and inflammation. Thankfully we can now buy it easily and legally in Canada where it is monitored and regulated and thus the quality is controlled. I prefer to make my own tinctures and oils and can use the strains and the quantity I want and need.

I really don’t know enough about it to use it. I have friends who do and they said it seems to help.

Nope; no reason to and no interest in it. I will wait until some quality studies are done and published.

This past February a Sports Med doc set some new rules for me: back off exercise until it doesn't hurt! It was hard to do... but that was the right answer for me and my bone spurs in the knees, and arthritis in some joints. I'm now working back up to about 75% of what I used to try and do and continue to do some phys ther exercises for strength and flexibility. I either back off the exercise, put up with my mild pain, ice it, or take some Tylenol for short term. If really painful, I have a prescription for Tyl with codeine, but generally use only at night.

I did try it and for a while it really seemed to make a difference. I used a brand sold by our local drugstore which came highly recommended by several friends. After some time I stopped noticing a difference and the pain returned so I've discontinued use. As others have pointed out there are no standards of dosage and it's largely unstudied so between that and my spotty experience I didn't feel it was worthwhile.

Same here as COONSY. I've only used it topically. A friend had some and shared it with me to try on my knee that was bothering me. It wasn't oil, it was the consistency of Vic's Vaporub (if you know that).

I didn't feel any difference, but I might not have done it for enough days (2-3).

I don't think I would feel comfortable with anything ingested, only topical.

I only use it topically on a fubared ankle (tib/fib pilon fracture 2 1/2 years ago). Helps ease the pain on days I work it hard, and makes a MAJOR difference in the constant 24/7 (mild but ALWAYS there) pain I had. Helps with the daily inflammation, too.

I don't use it for much else other than something like some soreness post-crash when I know why something hurts, I know it's not bad or a warning, etc. I wouldn't use it regularly for workouts or that sort of thing.

I’m with MLAN613. How do you even determine which brand to use?!

Nope. I don't trust the quality of it. At all. It seems that literally every store has jumped on the band wagon to sell it including the video rental store down the road and a local garden center. To me, that shows how unregulated it is and probably aren't getting a quality product.

Hey Guys! I recently started taking CBD products when I am having pain in my knees and back. It helps tremendously when I take around 20mg before my workout. Has anyone else used CBD to ease the pain of a run or weightlifting session?
