Oddly enough pushing a 250lb sled has become a favorite. Not only is it good cardio, but you start to see noticeable differences in your shoulders, arms, and even your chest!

I'm into triathlon and long-distance cycling, so my weeks in the spring look like this:

Monday: light run, maybe some speed work (usually around 2-3 miles)
Tuesday: swim 20+ laps (indoor pool)
Wednesday: spin class OR 45-60 minute outdoor ride if the weather cooperates
Thursday: swim 20+ laps (indoor pool)
Friday: rest day
Saturday: long run/walk (I'm at about 6 miles, working up to 10)
Sunday: long bike ride if the weather cooperates (40 miles), short ride or a long walk if it doesn't

I should probably add in weight lifting at some point, but I just... don't like doing it without a partner/spotter. DH and I used to lift together, but now with two elementary kids, one of whom is too old for the gym childcare but too young to stay home alone, we can't lift together any more.


In the summer, things change. I start swimming in the local lake or outdoor pool 1-2 days a week, I bike to/from work (34 miles round trip) at least 1 day a week, and I start doing longer runs in the morning (more daylight). I aim for 1-2 days of each activity, swim/bike/run, each week, but I'm not as glued to my schedule, since the weather starts to have a bigger say in what I can do.

Take life one day at a time - enjoy today before you worry about tomorrow.

My favorite workout is any walking videos I can do at home. I also like using the recumbent bike.

before pregnancy my favorites were yoga and dancing, but i haven't done much of either due to aches/pains (will be starting up again soon, though!). for now, walking and strength training are my go-to faves. i have two personal strength training sessions a week and i've become very close to my trainer so i always look forward to them! we modify as we need to depending on what's going on with my body.

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!

I do a variety of workouts, but I follow a couple that does videos on YouTube. They are HASFIT. They do anything from beginners to advance. They also have a variety of different workouts like HIIT, low impact, strength training, mobility training, and even some workouts for seniors and limited mobility people.

What doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.

I don't do the same exercise every day but a favorite is when I am training for a race. I do run/walk miles 3 days a week to train for an event and cross train with strength and other cardio 3 days a week. I have a 10 Mile race on Sunday, April 7 and I think I am ready. I am confident I will finish within the allotted time and crossing the finish line to earn my medal always feels good.

Just wondering what people like to do. I do 4 separate workouts a week, but just get through Chest/calves, and Back/ shoulders. I'm having to lift light, and work at feeling the muscle work. Maybe that's why I don't really love them.

Today, I do arms, and I like this workout, but I like my leg day the most.. just leg presses, and leg curls. I can lift a bit heavier, and that goes up quickly, which probably feeds my ego more, which is one reason I like it, but mostly I like the ability to control the weight. The exercises are done more smoothly, and I feel it in the right place immediately. I feel awesome when the workout is done, and my legs are sore the next day.

Probably means I need to focus on the other more. :)

Anyone have a favorite daily exercise regimen.. maybe cardio, weightlifting, or even things like riding a bike? The day you can't wait to get at it?
