I don't do DVDs right now, but I do attend pole dancing / pole fitness classes which is a lot of fun. Studios will have more strength-training classes as well as choreography/dance classes. All-levels friendly! Like my studio will have choreography classes that are beginner-friendly, with simple spins and pirouettes, etc. Some studios also offer "chair" classes where its like sexy dancing on a chair... You might want to try it sometime with a friend if there's a studio in your area! Its fun! There's also a DVD called "Addicted to Sweat" that is like a sexy chair dance routine with Madonna's trainer, but I haven't personally used it so can't speak to how good it is.

i sometimes i put on some music and dance in my basement exercise area. if i want a more intense workout, i generally search different videos online for variation. but sometimes i will admit to do less turns because sometimes too many turns can make me dizzy.
Have you tried learning the basic steps for a dance and doing your own routine to that type oof music? I do salsa dancing and absolutely love it, but I would love it less if someone were telling me in the background where to go and what steps to take. I just feel the music and do what I feel is best (Of course, I do this in the privacy of my own home with my husband, so no one can tell that I only know the basic steps and am combining salsa with other types of dancing).
I do love dancing, but I don't like to be told how to dance when. If you can, put on some music for the type of dancing you want to do and go with your gut!

ohhhhhh I'm a BIG ballet lover! I was lamenting the fact my mother never put me in dance classes, soooo, just before turning 35? I signed MYSELF up for adult ballet! I now dance in open classes, its been a journey, yet I'm down for that! Got my pointe shoes, too! After five looong years! (patting myself on the back).
i grew up doing bollywood and classical indian dances, so definitely a favorite for me! instead of going in circles, you can just step in place! you can certainly adapt any moves that don't sit well with you :)

I used to love the Aerobic workouts and my favorite one was a country line dancing one. But I have to say I have managed to get so out of shape I am not able to do it anymore. I am starting over and just getting myself to do walking videos (since it's really too cold right now) is all I can do. Right now I can't seem to motivate myself to even do that. But I am working towards it. I keep reading and watching what I eat. Eventually I will get off my lazy butt.

I tried out about four different but short Zumba videos and had so much fun. I'll start adding Zumba on one of three cardio days per week.
I will not complain about aging because we have no control over that, but, none of us should allow our bodies to decay/rot which is all voluntary. It is up to each of us to do three things: exercise, use good nutrition, and commit to something or someone that brings us joy daily for the rest of our lives. I love the concept of dance workout videos for indoor cardio, but there are so many I get overwhelmed by the choices and I'm having a hard time finding one I really like. I tried a Bollywood Dance Workout video, and while I loved her energy and the dance was fun, I was literally sick from turning in so many circles. Can anyone share their favorite dance workout? Anything but country/line dancing. No offense intended, it's just not my thing.
