If you're looking to work your upper body muscles, I suggest checking out some boxing workouts that can be done in a chair.

Here is an example of a good upper body chair workout. Watch it first to see what
you think. There are a variety of boxing chair workouts in varying lengths posted on YOUTUBE.

Do what you can and if a move is too difficult, modify it.

Do you have a set of hand weights or resistance bands ? There are good resistance training exercises you could do that would still work your upper body.

I don't know that there's one exercise alternative that will cover all of the same muscles a pushup targets, but here are a few seated exercises that will targets some of those muscles:

Hope that helps,

I can't find a reasonable sub for a pushup to be done in a wheelchair. Something that works the same muscle groups and calorie burn? Can someone advise?
