I myself am extremely disappointed it's gone. I've been letting myself go so bad for several years & finally got out there with my headset on yesterday & WALKED. I went to put in in like I used to &..... nothing there. More than disappointed.

Well thanks all. Yes - still bummed it is gone, I loved how it was integrated so that calories and time were added to the fitness tracker. But MLAN613 inspired me to play more with google maps. Not that intuitive, but finally found "My Maps" and figured out that adding a line instead of adding a walking path let me go "cross country" like I needed to, and to calculate the distance of my path that isn't a road in google maps. Thanks! Maybe someday a caring GIS person will figure out how to embed it on the sparkpeople site again.

I actually figured it out directly on Google maps and it wasn't hard at all! It's really similar to how was set up when there was the link here.

Well, nuts!!! That's too bad they changed it!!! I guess I will have to figure out other ways to find routes as I work towards getting back into better shape.

I'm sorry, it's not. Google changed the way the feature worked and it was no longer functional on our site.

It is no longer available.

I'd used it as recently as this fall, since I created a route around the football stadium that uses paths not on Google maps. Creating my own route and calculating distances using the terrain view was GREAT. Tried to find the tool today but no luck. It was under "More Fitness Tools" on the My Fitness tracker page. Am I overlooking it? Has it moved? I did a quick search and just found similar questions from people trying to find it all the way back in 2011, and tips for finding it from 2017.
