I agree with Coach Jen. I personally have my FitBit connected to track steps and some other goals but I delete the activity minutes because, well, it's activity and not necessarily exercise. I usually have to delete an entry adding between 1000 and 1500 calories! I know I don't burn that many calories through exercise!

So, I delete it and track my exercise.

If you have a device connected to your account, you don't want to manually add your exercise because that would be double-counting all of your activity. Either have the device connected or manually enter your workouts, but not both.

Hope that helps!

I exercise each day. I walk/run on a treadmill for 50 min, and do hand-held weight lifting and exercises. I wear my Fit-Bit Charge 2 all day except when sleeping.

My question is, should I not be tracking my exercise with the Fit-Bit and manually enter my fitness data into Sparkpeople? (50 min treadmill @ 600-700 cal/day and 10 min exercises with weights). Or should I just let the Fit-Bit accumulate and populate the data directly into the Spark people application. Which would be more accurate and detailed? Any help is appreciated
