I split the Silver Sneakers floor Yoga class into 2 tracking entries on Spark People tracker. 15 minutes of "Yoga (general stretching)" to cover the meditative portion and slow warm up part of the class. Add another tracking entry of 45 mintues of "Yoga Vinyasa" to cover the Sun Salutations thru vigorous part of class where all the harder poses and sweating happens. This checks out with my Fit Bit.
I have been using Walk away the Pounds on spark people exercise tracker for Silver Sneakers aerobics class with the chair, ball, hand weights, and tube class. The calories burned seem to check out with my FitBit. Hope this helps.
I was wondering how to track Silver Sneakers classes. Yoga is easy enough to figure. I went to Silver Sneakers Classic yesterday. It was mostly stretching and balance exercises, with a little light weights. All chair exercises or standing by the chair. I put it in as stretching/flexibility general. Would that be the best way to track it? (I am thinking that essentrics is a very similar class). I am hoping I can keep up going to that class.
