If you aren't going to use Apple Health and want to enter your steps manually instead, you can disconnect Apple Heath by doing the following:

Open the Settings app.
Tap Privacy
Tap Health
Tap SparkPeople
To enable access, toggle any/all switches to ON (green). To disable access, toggle any/all switches to OFF (white).

Once you disconnect that, you will be able to add the step tracker and manually track your steps. This page has info on how to add a step tracker to your Fitness Tracker page: www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer.
asp?id=108
and this one has info on how to track your steps: www.sparkpeople.com/community/help_answer.
asp?id=109

Hope that helps!

Coach Denise

Thank you Martha. Maybe I’m not able to view on my IPhone but will try on my laptop. I pretty much use my phone for tracking my nutrition.

When I just used a pedometer there was a space on Spark to enter the steps and I'd just add the calories checking on Spark. At one time I wore a Polar heart rate monitor while I worked out and I created a routine that I saved and added the minutes and calories burned as per my monitor.

Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it. Coach Denise: I have an Omron Alvita Pedometer. It doesn’t have the capability to connect to anything. I haven’t used Apple Health.

Since you have Apple Health connected to your account, you aren't able to manually enter your steps. Only accounts that don't have a device or app connected to it will have the ability to manually enter steps.

If you are using a Fitbit, Garmin or Misfit device, you are able to connect those to your SparkPeople account and have it automatically sync that info.

Are you still using Apple Health to track some stuff for you here? What device are you using?

it looks like if you go to the my trackers tab, and then to my fitness, there is an option to add step tracker

You can actually connect your device. Not sure how it works since I haven't done it yet, but remembered seeing it earlier.

Good Evening,

I used a Pedometer for the first time today. My question is how do I manually log in the steps? I didn’t do a lot but it was a start. I don’t see anything under exercise for stepping.
