Not only can you not spot reduce, but many people find that their waist will temporarily increase as they are dieting/increasing exercise as water levels in your body compensate. Your middle section can be the "jumping off point" - almost as if the weight gathers there right before it exits. I've noticed that happening. Things tend to sort of shift around a bit as your body tries to adjust to the "new normal" that you're creating. But if you carry on with your diet plan, and drink lots of water and get regular exercise you will see results. In your waist as well as everywhere.

Re-read the first sentence of your post.

If you know you can't do it, why do you keep asking people to tell you how?!

Just be patient. Eventually it will come from those areas where you carry excess.

I KNOW you can't spot reduce. But I've lost 7lbs recently and my waist is still about the same. Is there anything I can do to nudge my waist into being smaller?
