Some of the Taebo work outs use Billy Banks weighted bands which I find uncomfortable to use so I was using the walking hand weights instead. I was hoping for a amped up cardio boost so I could keep it at 30 minutes max
Does the video use light weights? Personally, I don't see a lot of benefit from using weights (even if they are light) for cardio activity, but it does increase your risk of injury. My suggestion is to save the weights just for strength training workouts.
Hope that helps,

Hi I am 59 yo and have been exercising since my 20's. I am going back to taebo to mix things up. I will be doing taebo with hand weights on cardio days. My question is can I weight train Mon-Wens-Fri, and do the weighted taebo on Tues,Thurs, and Sat? That would be 3 days of heavier lifting with 3 days of 1 lb weighted cardio in a row for 6 days aweek. I know you are supposed to lift weights every other day, but seeing the cardio weights are light, is it safe to do this? Thank You
