I find that mental stress can make me feel tired overall.

As an example, the gal above me quit recently, and nearly all of her duties fell to me to take over. This was unexpected and sudden, so there was the two week period from when she gave her notice until it was all my responsability.

For a couple weeks, I was pretty stressed and just feeling a bit mentally overwhelmed. I took a bit of a break from the gym as I knew I needed the sleep - my brain needed time to process everything.

Feeling much better now and have been back to the gym this week.

Is it still going on and if so, have you seen a Doc to make sure it's not something medical? Diabetes, anemia, circulatory problems and a host of other things can be responsible if it's something that isn't isolated and persists.

Certainly wouldn't hurt to take a day off...sometimes we just need it.

If you still want to exercise consider doing something that *really* switches up your exercise and challenges you mind/body to switch gears..... If you always walk...go for a swim; if you always strength train...try finding a park to go hike in. Or find a pick up game of basketball... Go to the Library and get a Tai Chi video...
Getting stuck in a rut can get us into a downward spiral...!

Also, if you've been exposed to any flu/cold recently your body may be trying to fight it off, so a rest day will help. all the best,
patti

I took a peek at your fitness tracker to get an idea of what you have been doing. I don't think your tracker reflects any reason you should be so tired today. Everyone has "off" days and maybe you just need to take it easy today. I didn't work out for 3 days while I was away on a mini vacation and I am extremely tired today, after coming home on Friday morning. There's no explanation, just really tired today. Sometimes your brain can just get really tired from focusing too much on workout routines, nutrition etc. and you need a day to just let it be. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Today I feel completely drained barely able to keep my eyes open. I last worked out on Friday but I'm not sure if I've done too and should take a couple of easier days or stick with it push through the fatigue?
