I am Bipolar and I had to get off of Seroquel because I gained a lot of weight. I finally found a psychiatrist that put me on Latuida and it was not know to make you gain weight. Though your mental fitness is unique this worked for me. I went from 191 to 175 just not eating all the time. Then the rest would be up to me to loose. I did get to 168 and plateaued and went back up to 178 but I will make a stand in my mind's eye to loose this weight I have gained and get to my goal weight which is 145-150. If you are not satisfied with your antidepressant then you should talk to a psychiatrist or your doctor about it. I feel much better since I talk to a psychiatrist then a regular doctor, I find I get better results, but that is just my unique take on the matter.

Are you working with your doctor to come off of those? If not, it would be best to discuss some of that with them.

For mind/body exercises, yoga is a great place to start, as well as tai chi. We have this page that also has some great articles and ideas for mind body exercises that you may find helpful:

Hey guys,

I was hoping to get some feedback.

When coming off of antidepressants it is and is not the greatest feeling in the world.

Great because you finally are off and are learning to get back on track.

Not so great because you're struggling with all of the weight gain and you have to take it easy the first few weeks or so ..

I joined a studio where they have personal trainers. Just curious to see what other exercises can help build the mind and body.

Appreciate the feed back.
