How goes it? Have you started p.t yet? My MRI is on Saturday and I see the Dr on Tuesday. Right now I am on Metoprolo and Levothyroxine. Will be anxious to see how my blood work turned out.

Anything that keeps you moving will be good. Just take it slow and easy until your doctor gives you the okay to challenge yourself.

Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate it. Nothing has been mentioned about PT yet. I have however looked over the videos here on Spark People. The ones I thought were good were the ones that had gentle exercises for Arthritis. I am hoping to incorporate those into my walking routine as well. :)

Glad you are working with your doctor. And physical therapy can work wonders!

As you wait to figure out how to handle your medical stuff, remember you can focus on making healthy nutrition choices. Eating right can help your body heal.

My sister ended up opting for a non-surgical approach using physical therapy.

Of course that is okay!
I am glad you are holding off on exercise for a while.

Hi Luann,

No, I think that he wants to wait and see what the MRI shows first. In the meantime, I will take things a little slower. Right now as we speak, I am resting with a hot water bottle on my lower back. Feels really good. Haven't taken any medicine yet. That I will take at night only. I won't have the MRI done until the end of the month (preauthorization stuff) and see him on January 2nd. Will keep you posted, if that's okay. :)

Did you talk to him about the exercise he would recommend for your condition?

Hi,

I went to see my doctor today. He has put me on Cyclobenzapr (10 mg) for now. I am also scheduled to have an MRI as well. Sounds to him like I have Spinal Stenosis, but will know more after the MRI is done.
