It's called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS).

Normal, to be expected, and shows you got a great workout in!

If things are still very sore (like you struggle to do some "normal" activities) several days later, than you may have overdone the new activity and will need to give those muscles a rest to ensure they fully recover and heal, then next time, go a lot easier until you find that spot where you're sometimes sore a couple days later, but it goes away by the time you rotate back to that muscle group (assuming you rotate muscle groups).

Any time you try a new exercise you might have some muscle soreness. It's typically the worst 2 days after an activity.
