I have the Fitbit Blaze. Have been using it for more than a year. I rely on the sleep tracker because it's been getting harder to sleep as I age.

A small complaint: I have an exercise step and was hoping it would record work on the step as stair climbing...but it doesn't.

I love my Fitbit! I NEVER take it off unless I am showering or it needs to be charged. It's an Alta HR and I got it as an early Christmas gift from my husband.

I have the basic model which syncs to my computer. This is fine for an 80 year old gal. I bought it to get myself moving after a broken leg in 2016 and it worked!

I got an Alta HR for Christmas, but I'm a bit old school, which makes me skeptical about how accurate it is, like the HR and the calorie count. But after a while I just pay attention to averages. It's a nice motivational tool to keep me moving throughout the day (I have a habit of planting my butt on the sofa when I come home at the end of the day) and it's nice that I don't have to use a chest strap to get my HR during workouts.

I have a FitBit Blaze and I like it, mostly. I don't think it's 100% accurate, but it's motivational. I like that I can see my steps, heart rate and calories.

It also tracks my sleep and gives me info about it. I haven't synced it to my phone yet (I hate cell phones), and have to see if i can sync it with SP.

I have the zip and I like it because it's very discreet. When it finally stops working, I might consider something like the altahr, but it depends on the features you're looking for. I don't really trust it as an accurate measure of workouts, for me it's more as a motivational tool and step counter.

Healthy choices and actions have positive impacts, even if the scale doesn't move!

I got the Alta HR fitbit for Christmas and have been obsessed with it ever since. I love the sleep feature- it's fascinating to match what I'm seeing with how I feel that day. I'm also a fan of the HR monitoring, of course, and how it automatically starts tracking things like extended periods of higher heart rate activity.

I just picked up the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier smartwatch - it has all the fitness capabilities of the Garmin and Fitbit, plus a full range of other capabilities that I find really appealing.

Where I live, the Garmin is crazy expensive - the Fitbit is about the same price range as the Gear S3 Frontier, but the Gear S3 has more features.

on the downside, a lot of people find the Gear S3 too big physically compared to the Fitbit especially.

Just my preference - don't want to hijack the Fitbit thread - it's a great device too - just depends on what you want in a fitness tracker or smartwatch!

They just put the Fitbit Alta on sale...

I just can't decide...

If you have any type of Fitbit, are you happy with it?

Does it do what you want?

Motivate?

I had the Body Media for years (now Jawbone) and it was great BUT the bumpy metal backing broke out my skin and even had burn-like skin irritations... I stopped using it before they canceled it bc of all the sores on my arm! (had to move it around in different spots)

I have the ZIP.

I did own the Surge until I discovered it was logging every bump in the road while driving and all the back and forth steering adjustments. So, I traded it in for the ZIP and started getting more accurate steps. I mount the ZIP at waist level on left or right side. I compared the steps to an old mechanical pedometer and they are pretty close to each other, so I know the ZIP behaves for my needs.

I have Fitbit Alta Hr & Charge HR. I've been skeptical about reports on app, but now am certain Fitbit is providing unreliable info. A couple of weeks ago the Alta recorded 200+ active minutes while it also recorded my sleep data. I was asleep. It also indicates over 3000+ calories burned a day -- NO WAY NOT EVEN CLOSE! The last 2 days it's provided reports exceeding all targets only to resync & rollback the info 2 minutes later. It's reported heart rate, steps etc when left at home charging all day!!! Fitbit support was less than helpful. When walking outside my phone apps record steps, etc so I can get a baseline. But what is the point of this expensive gadget when the information is neither accurate nor reliable?

I've had a FitBit One for many years now, but they have now discontinued it. I don't like to wear bands at all and the One includes sleep info, which isn't included with their other little pocket pedometer (the Zip).

So I'll use my FitBit One until it drops!!! Love it!!

I used to think it was my charge hr, but I have since fallen in love with my latest Fitbit Alta! It takes care of everything I need, is easy and quick to use, has interchangeable bracelets, and is cheaper than the charge!

I prefer Omron or TriSport. Don't care for my FitBit.

I have a Charge 2, and definitely prefer it over the original Charge HR. As was previously mentioned you can choose what type of workout you're doing and can pause. I also like that it (unlike the Charge HR) will nudge you to walk every hour and includes a guided deep breathing feature. It's an added bonus that I can swap out the bands.

Worth noting, the charger for the Charge 2 is also infinitely better than the one for the original Charge HR.

Currently, I have the HR Charge 2 and I do enjoy it. I upgraded from the Charge and like the updates to the 2. I am now able to pause workouts and select various workouts (like running, treadmill, weights).

I have the ALTA HR, an upgrade from the little clip-on model I bought first. I like the sleep feature and the dashboard information as well as weekly summaries. The only thing I want now is a new band -- something metal, more "jewelry" like!
