A good yoga studio will be able to adapt poses for you. Look for a studio that offers somatic or therapeutic yoga.

Also, a good yogi will offer adaptations for the poses and adaptive equipment like yoga blocks if you are really interested in doing more yoga. Let him/her know that you have knee issues and they should be able to help.

Does your pool offer a Deep Water Aerobic class? If so, I hope you will check it out. Although it sounds intimidating...it was wonderful. We used flotation, and you did what you wanted or could do of the movements. Absolutely no pressure on my joints...unless I chose to push it. You could choose to use your legs, or simply your upper body.

Your other option is to look into seated exercise videos. Spark has some nice short ones for upper body, core, cardio and Resistance bands. I was able to modify and use them following foot surgery....

I've fallen, several times, and damaged my right knee. It makes it very painful to do yoga, or any exercise that involves bending or putting pressure on it. Even knee pads hurt.

My grandmother's pool used to do like a tai chi in the water that was super comfortable, but my local pool doesn't offer the class.

Any suggestions are welcome.
