I WHOLE HEARTEDLY say YES! While I do work out at lunch, I no longer eat breakfast (very very rarely), but 99.9% work out in a fasted state. After much research, I'm learning that working out in this state is the best for you if you want to burn body fat. This is because our blood sugars are low and insulin levels have bottomed out, when you work out, your body will crave calories, which in this state comes from the fat stores on your person. There is a little bit of a physical curve to get used to this, and if you are looking to make gains, you won't see any on an empty tank, but what you will see after awhile are clothes you haven't wore in awhile fit more loosely than it had before.

I kinda do. My dietician said I should have a little something in me to boost my metabolism-so I eat a slice of bread with a little almond butter on it on the way to the gym

No. A nice fiber cereal, fresh fruit, greek yogurt and protein enriched Almond or Cashew milk is a good way to start the day.

Mostly no. But if I am doing a long or strenuous workout then I will eat something light. If I am going on long run, I have 1/2 a gel shot before or a couple of dried apricots.

Nope. I will always have something...I find an egg works great ( hard boiled in the fridge) if I am in a hurry. I need to have something to start my furnace or I wont burn anything....just get sluggish

No, not good for the body, I eat 1/2 my meal before, 1/2 immediately after exercise and a bottle of low sugar 50 calorie Gatorade that my Dr. advised for Electrolytes,so only 50 calories extra. I always exercise at a meal time, breakfast, lunch or supper, immediately eating before & after.

I have pleurisy, 3 types of anemia from Iron,folic acid,other vitamins not working,chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years..I am 55 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

I am not a big fan, but for various reasons I've had to start doing this. It can be done, though personally I feel like my workouts took a hit (at least at first... going forward remains to be seen) because I'm really running on empty by the time I get done.

No, I do HITT workouts and you need a mini-meal before a high intensity workout, otherwise I hit the wall about 30 minutes in.

Your body uses what is in it like glucose to help get the energy to work out. I was told not to eat at least an hr. before working out. I find if I eat before I exercise and wait that hr. I have more stamina to workout, but that's just me.
