i walked 2 miles round trip to the park and played on the playground equipment with my son.
I lost 78 pounds with SparkPeople and I've gained most of it back because I didn't make a PERMANENT lifestyle change; I'm back because I know the support here is an essential component to success. I'm practicing the EAT TO LIVE lifestyle and feeling healthier and happier every single day.

Since today is Christmas my gym is closed. I woke up, walked the puppy then I completed a workout video since we needed to go to church. I really want to go run but I won't have time since we have to leave soon for a giant family dinner. :(

Yes only 40 min of treadmil varying incline and speed and some leg and arm strength but I just never feel like I get enough in. Everyone on here seems to post more than I do and I just cant seem to get the like extra in so that is a goal i will try to add even five or ten min sometime throughout the day.
I am new to Sparkpeople and so far I think it is great. I was going to wait until the New Year to start a program, but why wait? I did the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds 1 mile DVD. I am not exactly active so I think I will strat off slowly and work my way up.
Just took a brisk walk in the brisk air. Gonna take another one this afternoon and then an exercise DVD after work.
You have a choice...you can throw in the towel or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face.
"Don't rely on motivation to get the job done. Motivation is temporary. It may be the thing that kicks you into gear initially but it isn't sustainable. Just do what needs to be done with NO excuses & don't wait on motivation that may never come. Take responsibility for your journey whether you 'feel like it' or not, you'll be glad you did!" ~ NOTABOUTHEFACE
