Do not give up what you want most for what you want at the moment. --- Stop looking back to the past; you cannot change it now. Instead, turn around and observe what is ahead of you, for this is where your attention will do the most good.
A warm and hardy welcome to each of you and to our newbies who have decided to join this awesome site.
Please, I am begging, when you are feeling discouraged and feel like giving up, that is the time to keep on, keeping on.
It took me nearly two years to lose 77 pounds. And, yes, at times it was/is a rough and tumble journey to Thinsville, but in the end it is rewarding.
I still have a long ways to go, and, yes, I've indulged in my binges, but if you get right back on the horse, you will see that it works.
Of course, to every action there is a reaction. There is a 10 - 15 day binge rule that may affect a lot of people.
You do learn to take responsibility for your actions. Ten to fifteen days after a binge you may see a weight gain. Here is where people become discouraged and give up. They'll say, "I've exercised and ate properly, why am I gaining weight?" Just think back two weeks prior to see if you've had eaten over your calories or had gone into a starvation mode by over exercising.
Spark People is an awesome site and a life saver to me. And, it is getting even more exciting.
