LUANN SparkPeople wipe out the spark points and tracked information of users who haven't been active in a couple years.

So the user is correct she has been set back to 0

Your Spark points will still be available to you, once you log in under that user name.

I actually logged in here again because of that mapping feature. Really sad to see that gone...as well as seen all my spark points gone too. Especially after buying the book to get the points from it. I don't know but those two combined doesn't really make me feel good about the site. I hope you will bring that map thing back though since that was actually one of the best tools in here.

Sorry that didn't help. I have an Android as well and the water tracking always works for me; I don't have any other suggestions for you. If your Android version is up-to-date, there may just be something else on your phone that is interfering. I know there are little differences with other apps between my phone and my hubby's that I chalk up to the phone itself.

Spark cheers!

thank you for being such a conscientious responder. that is ONE thing SP still does better than most other programs. Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. I will pass it along to our team.

Of all the things you mention, the water tracking in the app should work so you might try restarting your phone or uninstall/reinstall the app to get that working again if you are wanting to use that feature.

Merle, I hsve used it only to stay in touch with friends (I don't do FB or most other social media).
Your trackers don't link to my trainer's programs, so it was necessary to use My Fitness Pal -- which, I just now discovered DOES offer map my walk, with no more ads than SP has.
I needed tge app because I have to plot new routes, now that I won't be where I have used to walk.
I have been with SP for a long time, and have found it less useful with each passing year. Too many innaccurate & /or invmcomplete member-posted food entries showing up before basics, ways to enter exercise limited, the app offers too little {can't even get it to record water: have to use my computer. It's becoming a dinosaur.
Sorry for the long post, but I needed to respond to your comment regarding my not having used the mapping feature in a long time.
Hope your autumn is beautiful.

BRITOMART - We removed that feature quite a while ago so, hopefully, you have still been finding SparkPeople worthwhile since then.

Losing that app on here is disastrous. It was one of the most important features that sets Spark apart from WW, MyFitnessPal, et al.

NOW what makes Spark worth joining?

I agree walkzwdogz but the poster KILOMETERS only has 3 SparkPoints, done no Fitness Minutes and the post on here is the only one they have made so I think it is fear to say that because of the lack of meter means this is not the app for them.
Perhaps they were just making the comment for admin to be aware.

That was a great feature - but since it doesn't look like it is coming back, you can use this web site free to trace your walking/running/biking routes. It tells you the distance and the calories burned.

Hope this helps.

Hi
I have just returned to Sparkpeople after a long gap, and spent a long time trying to find my saved routes and the tracker. Can I add another request for this feature to be restored.

Probably never. You can use it directly on Google, without interfacing with SparkPeople.

I really wish they would bring it back. My son walks with me and he loved to see how far him and mom walked together. To me it was more motivational to use.

Hi - I've shared everyone's feedback with the team here so they're aware you would like to see the map feature return. I'm not sure it will happen; but, I put the request in.

Keep on walking!

Hi YAIYAI123,

I miss that feature too. As an alternative, you might try going directly to Google Maps and use that to map your walk/run outside of SparkPeople. You could then enter the time & distance into our Fitness Tracker to estimate and track your calories burned.

What a shame. This was one of the programs that always brought me back to SparkPeople - and one that I suggested to many of my friends. Here I am again, back with SparkPeople and "no" map program. I do not have any other source (ie fitbit, etc). What a shame.

- Fill in the login information for your device/app .
- Click the button to login/sign in.
- Your device/app will now be connected to your SparkPeople account and will start syncing automatically.

Hi!

Sorry, but the map function is no longer available. You can click the "Mileage" tab on your Fitness page and enter your miles and time there; but, you will have to determine the distance elsewhere if you are wanting to track that. As an example, I track my walks with the free Map My Walk app and then enter the mileage from that here on SparkPeople. Or you could manually enter the distance as shown on your Fitbit if you prefer.

Thanks for asking. Hope this helps.
