I sent you on email the screen shot from before, however by using the app rather than accessing the Internet website on my iPhone all listed problems have stopped.

Are those issue still happening? If so, what version of iOS are you using and what model iPhone? And can you post the screenshot you took? Or email it to me at merle@sparkpeople.com.

Guru! Yes all works perfectly on the app, rather than the main site accessed in the iPhone.

I'm glad to hear that one is taken care of. Are you using the full desktop site version on your iPhone or is it our mobile site?

#1 is now fixed — I entered my iPhone setting, went under Safari, at bottom went under Advanced, then clear history and specifically deleted SparkPeople. Now full list is available.

#2 even with the leading zero this is still asking for a valid number - I have taken a screen shot.

#3 still happening, can’t take a screen shot because it just looks like a normal search.

Impressed by your prompt answer WOW, making progress.

Hi KGWINDER,

Sorry to hear about the issues you are seeing. I'll try to address each one here.

1) When you get that short list, can you see if you can scroll the list? I see the same type shorter list on my mobile; but, I am then able to scroll down (past a couple ads) and the rest of the entries are displayed there. I use an Android; but, hopefully, the same will work for you. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll ask one of my co-workers with an iPhone to give it a try.

2) Please try typing the the decimal with a leading zero So, 1/2 would be entered as 0.5.

3) I wasn't able to recreate this issue. After you type in whey, are you tapping a "go" or return key on your phone to initiate the search?

The issue that other members were reporting here was that their Food Search box would not display at all for them. That seems to be caused by an ad on the page. You can also try closing any ads you might see (especially a banner at the bottom); but, I am not sure the issues you mention are related to that.

If the above suggestions do not help, please uninstall the app and then download a fresh version to see if that helps.

Please let me know how it goes so I can ask someone else here to test it out with their iPhone if needed.

I am using the site from my iphone. Before I left for a vacation a month ago all these worked, but not now - they are:

A) when searching for foods I get a very limited list now. For example I searched for sugar cookies and got sugar cookie dough and one specific restaurant sugar cookie that was nearly my whole day in calories, but not any standard sugar cookies.

B) I only ate 1/2 a cookie. In the past I could enter .5 to get 1/2 a portion, but now it says I must entry a valid number and only whole numbers are accepted.

C) in the past under my favorites I could type for example “whey” and all my favs with that came up. Now after entry it flips me back to the general search. Meaning the only way I can use my favs in to scroll down the whole alpha list.

Yes I have turned off my phone for over three minutes which clears cache, but these changes remain. I even have gone to my phone setting to clearing.

Until fixed I just ate from the list of foods I have in my recent list, but (edit out frustration after having success of losing 50 lbs since May and NOT gaining over the holiday) please consider something is actually not the same as before - especial since I see I am not the only one reporting s difference.

P.S. SparkPeeps has been my journey since 2007, so tracker or not technology will not block my goals. Just cause frustration - thanks faith crew for listening and happy holidays.

Hi Sveltewarrior,

Are you seeing a banner ad at the bottom of the page? Please click the x in the corner to close that banner. Does that fix things? You may have to refresh the page after closing the banner. Closing this banner worked for most members; but, CBirge2 posted that they needed to close a video ad before it cleared up for them.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Our team is looking at what is causing this.
