Sorry for all of the trouble, but hopefully that works for you.

Thank you for your help.

It looks like if I do it manually, then I will need to get rid of google Fit, which at this point I am happy to do as its annoying the heck out of me. i will try it out today and see how it goes.

You can't enter your steps through the app, but you can add a step tracker to your fitness tracker on the full site. If you just use your phone, you can access the full site through your phone's browser or our mobile site: www.mobile.sparkpeople.com

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

Do you have any suggestions for how to better use the app then?

I'll enter my steps manually if i need to, I just didn't see a way to do it. I walk multiple times a day, as work allows, and would almost rather just enter the data when I am done than wait for Google to get off their collective butts.

We request the data from Google Fit, but we can't control when they actually send it. Sometimes there are long delays between when we request it and when it's sent. Sounds like that's what is happening in this case.

Sorry about that,

Now the data is present. I don't understand what the deal is.

Does it sync up at a certain time of day? If so, thats not really helpful as I have a problem with motivation and math, and wanted to use the site to keep myself focussed

They came from the Google Fit itself. I walk with my phone and it detects my movement, or at least thats how I think it works. I can take screenshots of the graph and thing on the Fit app screen if you like

For the steps you're seeing in your Google app, did you manually enter those or did they come from another device?

I attempted this, I went through the whole unauthorize and reauthorize thing, even removed the Google fit app, and Sparkpeople app. Still nothing

Can you try disconnecting and reconnecting it? If that doesn't work, please let me know.

Thanks,

I am at 4997 steps as of this moment. Google Fit see's the steps and is showing them on the phone app. However it will not sync to my log at all, even though I approved the connection and followed the instructions. It is syncing my water just fine, but not my steps, so I am not sure what the deal is.

Clicking the "sync for today' button on the fitness log does nothing, it turns red, and changes to "sync requested", and then nothing else happens. (Regardless of how long I let it sit there.

Any advice?
