Hi Stephanie,

Our team fixed the issue you found (about tasks being checked off on future dates). You should not be seeing that happen now. Thanks for letting us know about it.

Hi Stephanie,

You did not do anything wrong at all. And, it is certainly okay to add tasks for the future. I see what you mean about certain items carrying forward to future dates. Even though those are checked off, you have not actually received any SparkPoints for those items on the future dates--so that part is okay. And when you get to the actual date, you still need to track fitness and spin the wheel to get credit/Points for it. It looks to me like a small glitch in the system that is showing those things checked off in advance. I will let our tech team know about it to see if it is something they can change.

Thanks for letting us know! I will come back and let you know as soon as I have an update on this.

p.s. I'm glad you are enjoying this new feature.

Hi Coach Merle! I'm going to jump on the bandwagon for this topic to try and make it easier.

I also AM REALLY ENJOYING this new feature. I'm a huge planner!

So while in planning mode today, I moved to Saturday and put a few things on my task list since it's my day off. A weird thing happened. Today, I had already spun the Spark wheel and I put in 15 minutes of exercise. When I added a task to Saturday, it picked those items up as checked off for both Friday and Saturday. It appears to have picked up part of what I logged today and filled it in as done for the next two days.

Any idea what happened or what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I can't add tasks in advance of the actual day? Not sure.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Stephanie

Hi,

I want to let you know about a few changes we made to this new feature since you commented on some of this.

1. Under your username on the top left of your new Start page, it now says "Edit Goals and Preferences" If you hover over that, you'll see you can edit your nutrition, fitness and weight goals, as well as get to the preferences page for your emails, etc.

2. The Community homepage (click on Community at the top of the page, go to Community Home) now has a number of the Quick Links that used to be on the Start page. You'll be able to access your Friend Feed here.

3. If you click on My Trackers, then select My Weight, you can edit your weight goal from the top of that page as well.

I know it's not everything you suggested; but, hopefully, you will like these updates.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your great feedback and comments/questions. I am glad you are liking this new feature.

About your questions:

1) Edit Weight Goals - Our team is looking at this so I expect you will see this function reappear. I am not sure yet if it will be added to the Weigh In page or elsewhere; but, I will watch for it and come back to let you know when it has been decided/added. For now, to edit your Weight Goals, you will need to turn off the new SparkCoach feature and go back to the old Start page view.

2) The Track Goals and Goal Board section was already phased out for new members a couple years ago. I will let the team know you would liked it on the Start page. Assuming that does not change, you would need to revert back to the old Start page view as mentioned above.

I will definitely forward your request about the lower section on to our team for consideration.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas here.

First of all, I want to thank SparkPeople staff for the new Sparkcoach feature - I am still learning it and playing with it, but so far I LOVE IT! emoticon emoticon I really appreciate your vision and all the hard work that clearly went into this!

emoticon emoticon emoticon

Also, I'm a planning geek myself so this kind of thing really makes my day, and I can see how this will help me a lot! Wonderful! emoticon

I do have a couple questions and requests. I apologize in advance if you are still working on this or already have plans for this.

QUESTIONS:

1. With the new Start page change, how do I access the "Edit Goals" function for "Weight" where you could update your weight, see your BMI AND calculate an estimated date for achieving the weight loss based upon the number of pounds lost per week?

If we've lost that in this update, is there some way we can add that back to the Start page? or somewhere else I can easily find it? I actually used that quite a bit. Er, actually a LOT.

Note: I understand that the Food and Fitness goals under the Edit Goals function can be accessed via the respective Nutrition and Fitness tracker pages, so those are ok to me. But I'd really like the other one for Weight with the time estimator added back.
Maybe you could add it to the Weigh-in & Other Measurements page???

2. I previously had the Track Goals and Goal Board section on my start page. Is there some way of getting that back on there, or are you phasing that out? I admit this is not as critical to me as I can just add those goals to the new Sparkcoach feature. (But I did really like my Goal Board!)

REQUEST(S)

Looking at the page layout right now, below the SparkCoach feature, the Community Goal Feed is running down the left side of the lower Start page. The right side is empty.

Can we add back to THAT right side the same link structure as before with the Streaks, Challenges, Friend Feed, SparkTeams, Message boards, etc.?
Again, those were all things many of use on a regular basis, and it would balance out the page instead of a big empty blank space on the right side. emoticon

Again thank you so much for all you do.. totally love you guys (and girls) and appreciate everything you make available to us!
