Hi Rachel,

We purposefully do not count everyday steps as fitness. The everyday walking around is already accounted for in the BMR calculation that is part of determining your daily nutrition goal ranges so it shouldn't be double-counted. If any of your steps are from fitness (for example, a walk for exercise), then you can enter that manually into the Fitness Tracker using one of the walking options or by tracking mileage as you mention.

I was using google fit to track my steps and it always tracked them as walking.

I'm using a dayday band so am trying to track it manually, but I find that the SP step tracker doesn't even use it as exercise. Is there a way we can make it track that way? Or should I add it as mileage instead? I have no idea.
