Misfit does not send over an activity with calories burned for everyday walking around steps. It is awesome that you are walking and getting steps; but, normal daily steps do not count as fitness and that's why calories burned are not shown in the fitness tracker for that. On SparkPeople, our system adds a small multiplier (1.2) to your BMR to account for the calories you need for both basal metabolic functions and light activity outside of exercise (such as light daily walking, deskwork, and running errands). So you don't want to double count that by tracking calories for those steps. Does that make sense? I hope so.
Keep up the stepping!

Hi, I use a Misfit tracker to track my steps and it’s synced with SP, but it doesn’t show how many calories I’ve burned with those steps. Is there a way to input the info? Example: It says I did 2500 steps so far today but 0 calories burned. It’s just everyday walking about, but I’d still like to know if I’m burning calories (MyFitnessPal does it but I prefer SparkPeople 😊)
