That is not a Premium feature. The calories burned portion that is brought over from Apple Health is only what Apple Health sees as your most/highly active minutes and calories burned. We don't have any control over what they consider those to be, but you can try doing a manual sync by doing the following to see if they will send more data over for you:

On the Log screen, in the Exercise section, there is a bar that shows steps and distance. Tapping this bar will send that day’s Apple Health data to SparkPeople. Note, it will take a few minutes for the data to be processed and visible on the Log screen. Refresh the screen after some time to see the data. (Easy way to refresh is to use the arrows at the top to go to the previous day and then back to current day.)

I can see my steps on SP but it doesn't convert to calories burned. Do you need premium to make this function work?

You will first need to download and install our app. On a new app install, navigate to the Log screen. You should be prompted to enable access to Apple Health. There is a toggle for each of the data points for which SparkPeople can pull. (Green is ON, white is OFF) Once selections have been made, tap “Allow” at top right.

If it's not a new app install (you already have our app), you can do the following:
Open SP Mobile
Tap MySpark in bottom menu
Tap the Settings tab
Tap Connect Devices/Apps
Tap the “Settings” button under “Apple Health”
Follow the on-screen instructions to do the following:
Exit SP Mobile and open the Settings app.
Tap Privacy
Tap Health
Tap SparkPeople
To enable access, toggle any/all switches to ON (green). To disable access, toggle any/all switches to OFF (white).
Re-open SP Mobile and navigate to the Home screen
User should start to see data in the Exercise section of the Log screen within 5 minutes.

Once you do that, you will be connected and all set.
