In order to get the map routes to calculate the calories, you have to go into the Fitness Map page each time and select the route from there and click to track it. Then you just enter the minutes and the calories will be calculated. Saving that entry as a Fitness Favorite does not retain a connection to the map and you have to then enter minutes and calories yourself like you've shown.

Your other options are to use the Mileage tab where you enter distance and time; then we calculate the calories. Or select one of the walking speeds from the Search and just enter minutes and that can be saved as a Favorite.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

I put in the walking one just from search so it would calculate automatically. But earlier this week when I added my map route to my favorites, it calculated the calories burned after I put in the minutes. Now when I select my favorite route, it asks me for the calories and the minutes not just the minutes and won't auto calculate. In order to get it to calculate the calories automatically, I had to go all the way back in my map routes and select it there then add the minutes. It seems there is no short way around that which is frustrating when I am on my phone because I can't access the map routes via mobile.

Did you use one of the walking entries in the fitness tracker today like you did yesterday? I checked your account and I could see your entry for yesterday. If you saved that as a favorite, you should be able to pull it up again and just put in the time spent walking. Then the tracker will automatically calculate your calories burned.

Does that help?

A few days ago when I added my walking map routes into my favorites for exercise, it automatically calculated the calories burned after I put in the minutes. It is now asking me for the calories burned. Why the change? I don't know the calories burned and I thought it was supposed to automatically fill it in. Any ideas?

Thanks!
