I understand how it works, just thought it was an odd way to process the information, given the number of people in here who tend to set small goals along their weightloss journey.

Setting a new goal weight in the app triggers us to change the Goal Starting Weight to be equal to your current weight; but, it keeps the original Goal Start Date. You do not have the option to change the Goal Start Date in the app, so you will have to go to the Weight Goal page on the website, where you can change the Goal Start Date or Starting Weight, depending on what you want to see. If you like seeing the entire amount you've lost, then you will have to keep your original Starting Weight in there since that is what we use to calculate pounds lost.

Hope that helps,

I know how to change the start weight for my trendline on my weight report. What I would like to know is why that start weight resets every time I update my goal weight in the app.

For example, I don't set huge, long-term goal weights - I do 2-5lb at a time. But when I go in to reset the goal, it also resets my "start" weight on the trendline. So instead of a trendline that's reasonably close to my data, I end up with an almost-flat one.

Specifics:
July, 2017, 233lb
Today, 209, with my next goal to be 205. I didn't start at 209 in July, 2017, but when I went to reset my goal this morning (after achieving the 209 goal), it also reset the trendline so now it looks like I started at 209, and then tells me my "total pounds lost" is 0, instead of the 24 I have worked very hard on!
