The Goal for September is to keep it simple and consistent. I mentioned in the blog that the lowest weight I saw was 238 before my family came into town.. lol- I'm ok, things are moving in the right direction. Inches are being lost faster then the weight, so I'm hopeful.. Keep Trusting the process! I'm seeing Results, tho not big its still happening. Even if its at a Turtle's pace emoticon emoticon

emoticon Happy to see a loss this month! I've been losing and gaining the same 5 lbs for several months now. I'm still going strong with Low Carb and IF, I'm averaging abt 16 hrs daily, I've been switching it up with 20 hrs and 4 hrs feeding window. That has been going great. Never feel hungry and I notice I always do better when I work out fasted and can prolong the Fast a lot easier then if I hadn't worked out in the AM.. Doing daily cold plunge with my Ice Cold Soaker Tub!! Brrrrr- That wakes me up, and I always feel right after. I do this plunge after work outs too! emoticon

As I mentioned in my July VB Blog, June didn't pan out as great as I had hoped, but with a very busy Family Reunion it could of been worse. I had gained a total of 4 lbs from my lowest in early June, I was 243.. After the Reunion I was up and down then settled in at 247!! I'm too blessed to be stressed abt this gain, so moving onward!!

July has been going strong, Kept on point during family BBQ on the 4th! that was easy lots of meat, and salad, and I made Spring Rolls! they were amazing.. My new summer go to meal.. I haven't really been running much, I threw out my back towards end of June. I've been walking all the HILLS!!! Those are Killer, but instead of running them, I'm speed walking them. I find it easier on my poor knee's and overall Joint Health..

Cutting out the Added Sugars this month, its going pretty good. I've got a whole bag of unopened Mint Milano cookies in the fridge!! their not tempting.. YET-- We'll see how I do around PMS Time that will be the real test!!! lol So far I'm finding eating Fresh Pineapple & Watermelon is curbing my sweet tooth, so I'm good with that.. Cheer's to Healthy Us emoticon

I have this posted as a monthly blog, but I thought I'd add it to my journal as well. This month is going by soo fast. I've been preparing for a Family Reunion these past months,, its been a constant push to get things done, etc.. I'm tired, but I'm excited for everyone to come and Njoy their vacation. Walking this month has been consistent but not in distance. I'm averaging abt 3-4 miles of Fast Power Walks. I've been averaging over 100 miles for a few months now! I've been working out with bands!! love these resistance bands my glutes/legs are sore!!!

I'll keep running on treadmill for 20 mins in the AM as my meditation time! great way to start the day!!

16 hr Fast
Gardening 4-6 hrs!

Weight: 248

Things are moving along quickly. family reunion is coming upon us fast and were kinda ready.. Yard work is getting done, house projects are almost done... I have painting left to do and some reorganizing in a few rooms. Stay focused. Keep to your list and things will get done. S#!T Happens, so no Foaming at the Mouth and reaching for food when things don't go as planned, regroup..

I've been doing really well with my walks/running! more running on treadmill in the AM for 20 mins.. That really helps jump start my day. The walks are getting faster, I can do most of my hilly neighborhood wlks 4-5 miles in just over an hour depending on how warm it gets in the AM... The longer walks helps me keep my emotions in check, and helps me think a lot clearer. It still amazes me that I haven't missed more then 2 days of consecutive walking since the end of 2016.. Its become part of my Self Care, Me Time... Scale is moving again.. I'm not too concerned with getting to a certain weight, as long as I'm 85% in line with my way of eating and exercise then I'm good. It will come off when I'm really diligent with everything. I give no power to the scale.. Clothes fit better, most too big. I feel amazing, I can run for an hour on the treadmill and feel great while doing it.. I just need to tighten up some things with my diet and I will see more downward trends.. Right now Coconut Cookie Rolls frm Costco are keeping me in a stand still.. emoticon emoticon

17 hr Fast

It's been a long while! I've been crazy busy getting things ready for Family Reunion that were hosting!!! YIKES.. Lots of yard/house work going on these past few weeks. Walking/Hikes have been going really well. I'm doing 4-5 miles with 80% Hills in just over an Hour.. The Hillz are killer!!! but I love the challenge, and I'm always energized after those Power Walk thru the hills.. No coconut cookies today!! ugghh I don't know why I buy them, I keep saying I'm gonna eat a few,,, then a few dozen pop into my mouth.. Grrr-- Letting those go, If I'm gonna eat treats I'm gonna make them. I'm always better at self control when I bake. Hmm gotta revisit that!! lol

Saturday April 28th

Great Day!! Hiked in the rain with my sister, it was a warm rain, and it was soo much fun!! the hills are getting easier, we are blazing up those without all that Huff and Puff breathing like in the begining emoticon emoticon emoticon

** Had a great day, went for a long drive thru Mason County-- visit dad's gravesite, and went sight seeing thru Allyn & Purdy-- The water was beautiful!!! Great Day overall.

Friday April 27th

It's been a good week! Lots of Sun this week which ment a lot of outside yard work, & other outdoor projects. Got to finish up the garage, and weed a good amount with some new tools. Walking has been really consistent. Warm weather makes it easier to get out after I drop kid off at school. Fasting has been between15-17 hrs this week!. Eating has been horrible!!! PMS and I just want to eat all the time! not hungry, just a bit edgy which is kinda normal during this time of month... Need to reign it in!!

Happy Friday!! Its been almost a week since I've been on.. Lots going on with sick kid, house projects, and more yard wrk!!! I haven't been good at Balancing my Diet and Sleep and it really came back to bite me in then A$$. Had a really BAD bout with Vertigo!!! It was after dinner, and I was feeling a bit dizzy.. I knew at that moment this was gonna turn full on Vertigo, and boy did it ever. I was throwing up, Dizzy, couldn't stand. I lay in bed with a cold press over my eyes, and an eye mask to keep things dark!!! that worked soo much. I slept for what seemed like forever!!! I've managed to keep my fasting between16-18 hrs. Also got some walking in!! I've added a few days of short Sprint Runs up my hill. I'm able to go further and further with each attempt! emoticon I haven't been consistent with running in the beginning of April, but that is slowly starting to change, I'm jogging 2X a week, and I like that schedule for now...

Rainy, Rainy, Rainy Saturday.. It's been a constant dark and gloomy days here in Washington, I've managed to get myself outside despite the ugly weather emoticon emoticon emoticon .. My fon died just as I was starting out, took a 4 mile route that didn't have too much traffic~ I hate when that happens, poor planning on my part, I need to make sure my phone is well charged before leaving especially if I'm walking alone. Sister had the grandkids today, so it was a Solo Jaunt around the neighborhood. It takes me a while to get outside when its raining, but I always feel soo much better 5 mins into the walk..

15hrs Fast today, had a great breakfast of Kimchi, 2 friend eggs, Bacon and Broccoli.. Kept me full, snacked on popcorn in the evening and a couple of homemade chocolate chip, oatmeal cookies!!! They are soo good if I do say so myself emoticon ... Tired, hopefully a good nights rest tonight emoticon

15hr Fast

Happy Friday! been feeling a bit tired last few days. Ive been getting my walking in and working on the yard. That's been keeping me busy emoticon
I was able to get out in the pouring rain and do abt 4.8 miles!! As I was coming home Hubby & Son were walking up the big hill.. We live on a steep hill, so my husband usually walks our son up and down 1.5 times! helps him with the Fidgets, and keeps him calmer in the evenings..


Hubs is going into work tonight, so I'm gonna run on the Treadmill early AM!!! Wish me luck~

16hr Fast today! feeling a little better then yesterday. Got some stuff done in the yard, and got out for a couple of walks today.. 8.1 miles- 3 this morning during a lil Sun Break, and 5 miles in the evening with my sister!.

Yard Work before the Rain came down, & rest. Im not feeling too good, feeling tired & perhaps my body is fighting a cold. Felt good to push out 18 hr fast today. Calling it in early hope to feel better tomorrow..

40hrs Fast
6.2 miles walked**While Fasted, felt GR8

**Completed my first 40hr fast today!! Felt really Great having that "Reset" for my system after the Toxic Food Binge I took it thru from Thursday-Sunday!! Fasting does get easier the more you do it. I started out at 12 hrs back in Nov 2017, my daily average is 16hrs.. Intermittent Fasting is much easier I think when on a low carb eating path.. *My experience--

I think I will continue out my Father's Fasting tradition. Fasting after Thursday Dinner, and breaking Fast the following day at Friday Dinner!! My dad would do that to mentally prepare for the weekend, with church callings, and being home to tackle the Honey Do list my mom had for him and the whole family!! lol


My older sister called to say she was getting off wrk early so we can do lunch of Steak and grilled veggies!! Lunch was at a fancy lil bistro~ I was happy to go spend time with her and enjoy this wonderful meal and catch up.. She saw my walking partner middle sister the other day and commented how great we looked!! Yaa-- emoticon emoticon Sister Support is always the best. It was good to catch up we laughed and cried today!! cried remembering our parents and the wonderful examples they were to us.. Miss them both dearly emoticon

After lunch I felt good, I could of extended my fast probably into the next day!! I was not Hungry/ Hangry at all.. I was even around a box of doughnuts, and pastries and I was not even tempted.. I actually felt sick looking at it because of the Binger I was coming off of! .. Progress.. Fat Adapted??-- This gives me hope for my next long fast...

Middle sister and I jumped out this evening and caught a Fantastic Sun Break!!! We hiked thru the neighborhood hills!! Felt great to be outside, after the emotional roller coaster I had earlier.

Completed my 100 Knee up Twists, I will be done with my 30 days on the April 19th!

I buy Swiss Natural brand, but I'd also stand behind NOW brand. It's worth a shot... it's particularly good with regard to gluten. Another potential solution would be a high dose of magnesium citrate before bed with a large glass of water, and then whoosh it all out in the morning.

Ad for that coffee, as soon as I'm done with this fast, I'm going to try that! Brilliant idea!

You know I was reading abt Activated Charcoal the other day, and now that you've mentioned it I'm gonna research further!! do you use a specific brand?--

As far as Pepper Corn/Turmeric ratio I've been adding 1/2 Tsp of PCorn to 1 Teaspoon of Turmeric.. Sometimes I'll add 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon to the mix~

Oh dear! I'm sorry you had such a severe backlash... that always STINKS! Have you ever tried Activated Charcoal after you've ingested stuff you shouldn't have? It can be helpful.

...But look at you still keeping up with the exercise regardless (I like fasted exercise, too... feels cleansing, somehow)! Go YOU!

I Felt Soo Sick last night!! I Partied like a Fat Rock Star emoticon emoticon from Thurs-Sunday! Family in town was a total BLAST emoticon, my SIL & I had fun- shopping, cooking, laughing, eating, and just hanging out.. My old habits got an invite to the Party and I was happy to let her in!!! However, my system was not having it. I crashed and burned Sunday evening after our Guests left, and I was soo ill with nausea, cramping, and headaches I headed to bed early.. My husband put our son to bed and stayed home to make sure my Vertigo didn't show up in the AM when its time to be Fully Focused and ready to get our Autistic Son off to school.. I was extremely grateful for his help today, for I would not of made it.. ugghh- This morning told me I was Fasting today.. I'm going on 24hrs right now, and will push this out to 36hrs. That will be my longest fast to date. I'm not hungry at all, I still feel full from the weekend oddly enough!! lol-- I managed to get in 10.6 miles of walks/hikes today, All while in a Fasted state. I love working out while Fasted~

I've Changed up the Bullet Proof Coffee-- I no longer add Ghee to the mix.. Right now for the past month I've been adding Pepper Corns/Turmeric to the Grind/Brew Coffee Pot, and I'm LOVING IT!!! Pepper/Turmeric is a great Anti-inflammatory and drinking that with my coffee black just adds a great element to it.. I'll add the coconut oil on occasion but for now I'm enjoying my coffee black with pepper/turmeric emoticon

Daily Fast's 16-18 hrs *Thurs-Sunday

Sunday's walk: Had to push myself out of the house and into the rain today, my sister joined me which was great. It rained off and on but ended up being a really great walk..


Family came into town Thursday morning! It's been a blast hanging out and just laughing and being together... Thursday was a Rest day for me. My legs are a bit sore, so I'm happy to take that break.. Friday was a beautiful sunny day, I got out as quick as possible for a quick walk 4.6 Miles.. Felt ok, a bit sluggish because of the food I was eating... Lamington, Spinach rollz, snacking-- I can feel it out on my walks!! .. Saturday sis and I walked our Hillz in the Rain!! I felt good to be out in the wild elements. We walked to Starbucks got my Black Americano and walked up thru the golf course hillz!!! Leg Burn...

**Spark 5% Challenge started yesterday!! I'm happy to be back on the Awesome A Team!!! I really love the accountability on the 5% challenge. I've always met Goal when I've participated. Hope to repeat that in the Spring Challenge..

**Family is still here they will leave Sunday evening- It's raining ugly today, hopefully it clears so I can walk later.. if not my rain gear is dry, so out in the rain I'll go.. emoticon emoticon

you are so motivating to others.
I am starting to run too at 165lbs (im 4'11").
I want to lose at least 35 lbs to get under the obese category :)

Good morning, Beautiful! I am so looking forward to the lovely cleansing Spring rains in which to walk... we're still clearing snow, LOL. Your dedication to your exercise ritual is inspiring (and so is how you listen to your body and adjust... too many people don't)! Go YOU!

16 hr Fast today. 16hrs has been my daily average this past week.. I'm happy with that since I've been eating a lil later due to Spring Break! Tried my 2 mile walk today to help get my day started.. 5 mins in I could feel my knee feeing a bit off, so I jumped off my Dreadmill and decided to take it easy this morning.. Family coming in from out of town this weekend!! It will be fun, my SIL and I always have a blast!!!

I pushed myself out into the Rain and got a great walk in. I needed it, this morning's Treadmill was a Bust, I really needed this time to reconnect with myself, and get some Angst out.. It worked, was able to work in abt 4.6 miles today. Happy I did this in abt an Hour and 10 mins!! this walk is a killer because its mostly hills.. My walking speed has definitely picked up emoticon emoticon


Hopeful tomorrows AM Treadmill time will be much better!!

April 2018, 100 pounds lost! and now I've started running. This will be a place where I come and record my exercise, and just do a daily mind dump of this whole experience. Walking has been and still is my number one form of exercise. At 355lbs that was the only exercise that I could comfortable do.. I climbed to the very top of Mt. Elinor at 311lbs. This feat was huge for me, and it's my mental go to while running.. I always tell myself, "You can jog this last mile, you climbed a fricken mountain in a knee brace & one broken walking stick!! PUSH THRU.. I always do!!...



April 2&3 Run/Walk number's.. Every morning I do a easy jog on the treadmill to clear my head, this is a new routine for me & I'm loving it!! Lot's of energy the rest of the day, and keeps me focused and calm. I've been power walking in the evening for abt 4-5 miles! This usually takes me abt an hour to complete! Today April 3rd, I walked alone, on the April 2nd my big sis joined me!!! love that we are doing this together.. We walk together abt 3-4X a week.. My sister lives 4 blocks away so this makes it even better.. -- Great start to April!!!
