Day 2: The Spirit of Desire

Centering Thought: My desires make me feel alive

Mantra: I am the essence of life.

You were born to fulfill your purpose... Purpose is fueled by desires... having hopes desires makes you human.. Laws rule the universe... You can attract negative or positive experiences in your life... Desires fulfill you, expand you fueled by the energy of love... Grace, kindness, foregiveness, understanding , respect, harmony, a reverence for life is THE MEANING OF LOVE... All of these..

In order to master the art of desire be judgement free... Many people feel guilty of their desires or think they want more than they deserve. Desire is necessary or natural to life.. Energy of attraction is neutral... Negative or positive results... Our goal is Positive results. Highest desire is to grow and evolve... I am one I become many may I go forth.. I walk in the present..to go into the future... Desire is neither bad or not spiritual... the fulfillment of desire is the main goals of life... Once you stop judging your desires. you will realize you were designed to fulfill your intentions.... Plan your whole life around desire... You are not self-ish or greedy when negativity is attached to desire... Frustrated and unfilled... Problems do not arise when desire is not supporting... 2nd step is to celebrate the fact that you have wishes hopes dreams aspirations... Any possibility can come true... My desires make me feel alive... My desires make me feel alive... My desires make me feel alive....

Connection to the vital feeling of life... Feel the aliveness of your spirit...

Day 18-Taking Back your Power

Centering Thought: I define myself by choosing who I want to be

Mantra: I am the Wisdom that embraces Life

The greatest transformation comes from one thing... When you own your power... When we are aligned... We are one... When we use our personality in alignment with what the soul came to do.. there is powerful change here... We are just us... When we embrace our power-- thoughts beliefs actions... We have power over the whole world...Being aware... Knowing we are worthy because we are born...Everyday we have a choice... Embracing power or giving it up... We are here to figure out what our calling is... the universe will support us in this transformation....

We give away our power... Unconsciously... when we are dominated by someone, when we feel anxious we surrender our self-esteem.. Even going around with lots of people we think in crowds... We are weighted down physically emotionally and mentally... We feel trapped... Some may say just walk out... Or someone else may say just stop eating... We become who we are by giving up and giving in.. We will not be put into a box... Society sees us as winners or losers, beauty or ugly, etc... We get our power back by not being how society sees us and becoming who and how we want to be....

No labels or conditions... Especially societies labels or conditions.... I am who I want to be... Who I choose to be...

Day 17-Winning the Mind Game

Centering Thought: I accept where I am; here and Now

Mantra: My true self is wide awake

Be still and connect with the energy that is greater than myself in the AM.... Source... Centered and calm within myself... peace.... Centered space allows me to pause within any difficult situation... The situation itself is different then my reaction to it... Don't have to let old habits control me... If I don't allow the centered space to help us... we are controlled by the moments that are difficult... The more centered and accepting we are the more creative we are to it.. We control our reactions and therefore the moment within it...

when the hunger dilemmna is over, the mind game is left.. Plays tricks that are surrounded by old programming... and habits.. We can be the conscience deliverer of change....
The same event does not produce the same reaction... IT's important to remember... Awareness is Key... Awareness is the Change. Choice to react the way we do.. Direct our intention to a better reaction for ourselves... this is me reacting...It has no meaning until we give it meaning... This is where I find myself right now... When we accept where we are right now without judgement- we win the mind game... Engaged and receptive... We are not wasting time because we are here... Nothing more nothing less. Centering Calm...

Day 1: The Nature of Desire

Centering Thought: My life moves forward through desire

Mantra: I honor the universal power of desire

The energy of attraction is more then getting the things you want... It's about aligning the thing you want.. With the source of all energy.. With keeping things aligned... the earth and the sun.... Embrace aligning and you will discover a whole new experience... We are all energy.. We are connected to the universal force that is creation... We are sending out vibrations like love, fear, anger, and joy... the energy we put out is always returned to us... It's universal law. that law describes how we fulfill our lives and dreams... Like attracts like... change our energy and we can change our experience of the world...Change our intention and we can change our path... How our deepest desires change our thoughts experiences actions...

What do I want at this very minute...
survive & thrive... Seeking the nourishment it requires... Circle of life is about desire. In natures scheme there is enough abundance for everything to survive and thrive... We desire more of the good things that require more fulfillment... Security, love, joy inner peace... Nurishment and abundance... Circle of desire begins inside... When we have a wish dream hope or intention. We want to bring something desireable to me... Intention... Secret lies in knowing how to close the inner circle of desire... So the inner circle leads the outer circle of doubt... Inner and outer are connected... A thought if it's powerful enough can change circumstances... Something you don't want can leave something you do want can come to you... every cell attracts nourishment, we are always attracting natures abundance... Past conditioning attracting negativity... Use the energy of attraction in a new and better way... there are layers of attraction and desire... Inner attention becomes manifest.. Deeper level of attraction.. When you think of someone and they call on the phone... the energy of attraction is achieved at the inner level.. We will go deeper then wanting material things... deeper level gives our lives meaning and harness levels of attraction.. Benefit us physically mentally and emotionally...

Centering Thought: I see myself as being of light


Mantra: I am the radiance of supreme light

Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...

awakening to greater heights.. be transformed.

Your perception holds the key... We can see things as problematic and Weighed down and burdensome or change that around... We feel the lightness of our being by the universes glow... Let the light in...
We feel the lightness of our being... Everything is illuminated...and light

Everyday our experiences begin with raw data.... From senses.Sight, smell touch taste sound... what do we do with all this raw data from the senses. We take it as a perception... Two people have different and personal perceptions... when perceptions shift. Personal stories shift...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder along with depression, optimism etc... Heaviness to lightness. You can be negative and gloomy or carefree and optimistic because your perception is lightened.... or heaviness.... Every perception is about you. Most people are waiting for their scenery to change and become better... turn the perception around. Things become better because of you not your circumstances. Apply a descriptive tag called growth love give a silent blessing see yourself as the creator of your personal story.

Eternal moment is right here before your eyes.

Centering Thought: My story is about nurturing myself in every way

Mantra: Om Durgayay Namah ==I revere the Nurturing energy of life

We have looked at hunger at a more balanced way. Hopefully we have looked at our habits at a different way. Lasting change...

We become the stories we tell ourselves. We create the story of our life. When we let go of the stories that no longer serve us. Things change. New story new lightness endless possibilities...

As we shed our burdens it opens spaces for something new... We are creating the story so love it... If we don't love the story create the new one because this will keep continuing... Letting go of the heaviness of the past into a new lightness. Change evolution... Pause and look out the window ... Consciously see 5 new things. Using extra awareness you can find new things you never noticed before. We trained our brains to ignore the familiar... Wonder comes from a new perception and wonder fades with.repetition... Inside yourself is the control switch in perception... In the true self is the womb of creation... new possibilities will themselves often... If you don't notice them- they will pass you by.... Setting intention- and letting go... Life story will have different potential and attract like Power of intention... Consider the themes you want your stories to be about...

You make a breakthrough everytime you break out of an old habit... Even Awareness of the old habit- is winning the battle of keeping an old habit and or making a new one...When you notice what you want to accomplish and how you will feel once the goal has become accomplished- you can break out of an old life habit... People just need to realize: they too have a choice.... Let's celebrate each and every "breakthrough" we encounter as we become aware of what we want, what we want to accomplish, how we will feel once we reach these goals, and the steps we need to take to get there!

Welcome the freedom that comes with choices... When we make choices we gain ultimate power and freedom. As we deeper our connection- breakthrough to awareness will grow. Set your best next step... Connection to awareness in this moment.

Centering Thought: I am drawn to the present moment with ease and joy

Mantra: Life is one Unified Wholeness

Our most whole state of being, to be present in this moment. There is a magnatism that pulls us into this moment. LIfe is at it's very best. Always. Present is you magnet and compass. Do not mourn for the past- don't worry about the future or to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present. To be here, now. What kinds of habits pull us away from the present? Fearful

When we worry about the future, we resist being in the right here & now...

healing- we need it here and now... Let's focus on shedding the weight & burden

Every brain cell lives in the present moment...
living in the present is the only real way to live... People live in regret by living in the past... Blocks the present moment. Dwelling anywhere outside of the present brings disease and decay. LIfe is at it's best when its fresh, new & spontaneous... Physical part becomes distressing. We turn away from the present when we feel insecure and unworthy. We shouldn't push happiness off... the future can't promise happiness. This day. this moment - is where our happiness lies.... The process is natural... In meditation happens automatically. Day 12: You are the Healer and the Healed

Centering Thought: I embrace my role as both healer and healed.

Mantra: My healing intention manifests

parts unfold in harmony... when we feel separate- it's toxic. A burden. We try to fill that void with the outside in... Only way to fill the void is from the inside out... Silence the mind. At the strongest and most powerful we are already whole... Healing comes from integrating all our separate parts into a whole... We are both the healer and the one healed... In the spirit of wholeness... We are healer and healed.

When you resist a bad habit... you say you are being good. When you give into a bad habit you say I'm being bad and wont do it again.. find out who is talking to whom... You act like you are a separate person... In truth you are both the healer and healed. You have to find healing inside... It's vital to restore yourself to the healer and heal... One part feels strong one feel victimized and to blame. Knowing you are already a healer gives a power and releases the need to feel victimized... those who can spring back in control can live long lives. They are self-reliant . In our meditation we become our true self... As you come out of separation... the rules no longer define you... No longer attacking yourself and blaming yourself. When you aren't divided in yourself you are free and lose the baggage within yourself...

Day 11: Healing your Hidden Issues

Centering Thought: I let negativity and darkness dissolve in my light

Mantra: I bring the light of divine grace into my being


The feelings we wish we didn't have actually do impact us... When we spend energy trying to separate from feelings we don't want we feel worse. In stillness we can recognize our negative feelings. by clearing out our negative fears. we create space. we open up a new energy.

Meditation does 2 things... takes us to a calm place. helps us recognize our negative habits. old issues... Being comfortable with the second part takes practice... if you continue to deny old wounds it will sabatoge our current thoughts.
Healing our mental trauma is a mystery. Pause and say to myself- this is all me... The mind has learned to separate good me from bad me... When you are faced with anxiety and depression... That way you recognize that you are the same in one- just have to work through the feelings of past limitations.

Day 10= All Fulfillment Comes from Peace

Centering Thought: I am living the way of peace

Mantra: I am Peace

When we come from peace- we can achieve peace. creates the path to healing. We are creating a new lighter self- Free from lack.. Present in just being yourself enveloped by the peace within you... It's the way to lightness

Imbalance is that it feels discerning.. Mental and physical pain are burdensome/ blocks contentment. the opposite is peace- a lightness of the soul. I can relax and be at peace. How do you shed weight of trouble, dissATIffaction? the mental agitation... Peace is the way... Consciously owning your inner peace. Peace comes first. Not last... From that goal- they expect to find peace... But what if peace is the cause of satisfaction instead... In the state of peace there is no more cravings. empty, resltess, &needy, wanting is the act of your real nature...

Start with respect with everyone. find the common ground.
Don't express anger unless you have to.. Uplift others instead of criticizing them.
When you feel an impulse of love and affection... Show others by a simple suggestion... An embrace, touch a smile... etc...
Remain centered. respectful and calm.

There is tremendous peace knowing the key to healing is simply being yourself.

Day 9= Put your beliefs into practice

Centering thought: I activate my vision of healing everyday

Mantra: I bring balance and strength into my life

Intention shapes your reality. When you intend to heal healing has already begun.. When you do things to take action- it starts the process. Putting beliefs into practice. Forgiving yourself and others. Knowing you are loved simply because you are here. Belief, Attitude, practice, - it accelerates. Spiritually, emotionally, physically, with ease and grace....

Even smallest steps moves you forward. Essence is love. Be that love. Without struggle and effort.

Self- Care & healing... Believe system has shifted. this isn't enough.. Positive beliefs into action. Cells get the idea immediately... Healing is already holistic. knowing as much as you do about you... Neglect & damaging habits. Toxic habits. No sympathy with. Shift in beliefs... In your body... once you begin to think. healing has begun... Blame and judgement never gets the goal... Be self- reliant. Claiming your own life Others shape our opinions. These things stop happening when you realize no one possesses your life but you.... Be the one that you rely on

Forgive yourself- Love yourself- be patient with yourself- repeat your belief in recovery and healing- and ENJOY THE RIDE!!!!

Exercise: Imagine you made a new friend. That is patient loving kind hearted and avoid doing what that friend would do... you Visualize a complete shift and be the one to love yourself everyday....

Day 7= Total Balance is Natural Balance

Centering Thought: My True Self leads me to an inspired life

Mantra: I am guided by my self-awareness

being in balance is the best way to be... getting there? that's another thing... usually we only try to get balanced in 1 area at a time... How do we achieve real lasting balance? Going to the source of ourselves, beyond worry and effort being still and meditating,.. When we do we open the door ..... When we align with our source we re-balance our entire system to a state of wholeness and peace... our true sense of being worthy

getting into balance is desireable... all pieces are interconnected... Look at the whole mind body connection... What does total balance mean? Leaving nothing out... The natural tendency is to ignore flaws- self care is isn't about this...

Root cause- not cosmetic touches.... Realizing we are already complete...

Making positive lifestyle changes...

Real problem is non-compliance... We must do all that we know is good for us... Inspiration is the best motivation... The kindest thing we do for ourselves is nurture our personal growth... True self- has a wonderful trait... feels completely fulfilled by being here in this moment.

Day 6=The Key to Positive Input

Centering Thought:Positive input nourishes me at every level.

Our bodies are a reflection and a metaphor for our minds... Everyday we metabolize our experiences. Often we overload our systems with negative inputs. We allow difficult and stressful experiences to build up ... that's when our bodies feel pressure and wanting, hunger. We are all responsible to ourselves of the energies we allow in...

Everyday we have all kinds of experiences. All the experiences become part of the body.. Our awareness processes every thought into biological terms... Experiences fall into 2 categories... Positive input or Negative input....

Positive Input making things lighter and easier to handle... Negative is toxic.. Negative is stress poor self- image which includes poor image and self esteem..

there is room to increase positive input... We aren't in the habit of dealing with negative aspects of daily life. Never carelessly allow negative input to build up..

Inattention from partner, unruly family life. Being attention Positive input nourishes me at every level.

Day 5= Getting out of the Hunger Dilemma

Centering Thought: I am the Source of my Own Inner Healing

Our Bodies want to be well, nourished, strong, it's our habits of thinking that produce unbalance... breaking up patterns of unconscious behaviors. Habits of thinking unbalance us. Confusion leads to hunger of every kind... thoughts aren't true but habits- we recognize our positive truths... Free us from unconscious behaviors.

Some situations you can't overcome. Some you can... As adults we must rely on self-care.. To get out of hunger dilemma... Natural pattern of waking & sleeping
Daily routine- which is the same or as close as you can get... chief reason for getting caught in a loop is by not being aware of how we are feeling or thinking... I am fine as of right now... recognize the thought pattern is not true. Recognize the pattern for example" Nothing ever works out... Not true.

I am the source of my own inner healing. I am the source of my own inner healing.

This was a great lesson for me today... Centering thought: I am the source of my own inner healing... My past behaviors included being stuck in a world wind of feeling inferior- anxious- depressed-never following through with tasks I had decided to do- negative thought patterns- etc... But as I have come to explore my feelings- thoughts- insides and journal more, I am finding out more about these negative patterns as they unfold.. they are no longer keeping me down and out. I am feeling better about myself, my goals, life in general & my future... slowly I am making headway... It has and it will take A LOT of work and discovery- but I AM well worth it!! Honestly? I don't want to just let life pass me by- I want to take a pro-active path towards better health and a healthier lifestyle.

Day 4=Fulfillment Holds the Key

Centering thought: In Fulfillment, I lack nothing

often we feel we are lacking something... We seek to fill that with something done without thought... we eat spend, indulge, If we seek to understand what we lack- we can begin to fill ourselves with real comfort and strength... Shift from mindlessness to being mindful.. We can connect to what we already have within... That's what turns to being weighted heavy and burdened to being weightless. Full From within--- is our goal... Inner Peace

Fulfillment is the meaning of feeling no longer needy in a state of lack.fulfillment means we will feel complete and content in this moment... When we feel lacking in some way- we will no longer feel centered in ourselves. Instead of craving a habit
that always fights back.. Ask yourself what am I really hungry for?

Stop notice presence of awareness. what am I truly hungry for right now...? What am I lacking? Lonely? Want a warm feeling a familiar taste brings? Notice what you are lacking. And go from there... If you still want a snack- have one.

What does my awareness really lack? True self lacks nothing. Separate self
Is emotionally unsatisfied... Bored and lacks stimulation. Bored and wants taste... Go ahead and realize it's not your true self... Don't judge. & have your snack.

You shouldn't believe you are lacking anything if other parts of your life are going well... Our hunger is undeniable....

Only consciously being our true self can heal emotions.... Don't look for bigger and better things out of ourselves... keep in mind the satisfaction you feel after a deep state meditation brings you...

Sometimes we can still feel lonely... Hunger & desire is undeniable... Find balance... Separate from temporary, false.. Don't look for more of anything external... They do not have the sustainable power of knowing the inner peace we already experience.

Let's take a moment to look at our centering thought... In fulfillment I lack nothing....

Day 3: Begin With Emotional Balance

Centering Thought: As My Emotions Flow Freely, My Life Is Lightened

Rather than being your thought and emotions, be the awareness behind them... Often we become attached to the negative habits. Those habits can become 2nd nature to us.. They get buried and rooted deep within us and then get stuck. It's very easy to get stuck and play the same negative tapes...YOU HAVE the POWER TO Change this... Feelings come and go, they are suppose to. Find your still space.. Let yourself be still and from that center place all feelings can flow to the surface. they flow through you instead of weigh you down. Our truest present moment is always filled with love and hope.

Life is meant to flow.. when things get stuck life gets out of balance... Depression, anxiety, guilt, unsatisfaction... It pulls us out of balance... Toxic residue from the past undermines our self-worth... It pulls us further out of balance. It feels good to meditate and let it all out...

Whatever you aren't aware of you can't heal from.

I'm not good enough makes people look for fulfillment elsewhere. Where it can never be found.

Emotions are healed only from their source. When you aren't holding on, our emotions do what they are suppose to do.. Move on.. Shedding emotional baggage is the same as getting unstuck...

We accept what is here because it is already here.. How do I meet it in the present moment... How do I see Clearly what is actually happening? Heightening attention. Clarifying the mind... Laser like attention. Infusing attention with the attitudes of acceptance, kindness, curiosity,... Trusting that you are doing this right. that it's unfolding in the right pace for you. resting. Don't do anything. Bring some gentle movement into the wrists and ankles bring arms up overhead. Bring light into the eyes... Still paying attention. Still present. Still seeing clearly. Bringing attention into all aspects in life... What did you notice as we did this practice? Focus attention down and back. Conscious effort to notice the distracting thoughts and let them go.. don't let thoughts effect you. Just depends on the moment. Minds wanders. that's why we practice.. It's like we are building a muscle. Stronger parts of the brain or being .. so we can be more present for our children... We are shaping our own brains and our childrens brains, there are no breaks... Every moment we are creating a pathway. attention, learning, parts of the brain gets stronger with meditation. Cortical thickening... Mindfulness does: Is that in alignment with your highest values? Every time I practice the value I strengthen that value... What is your intention... ? What is important to you

5 elements of parenting
1-Unconditional love- Nothing will stop me from loving you
2-Space- allowing children space to be themselves
3-Healthy Limits- So important for our children to have boundaries to push up against
4-Modeling and Mentorship-Who you are teaches your child everything. Are you instilling healthy habits onto our children? How we are in the world. What we model. Spending time with them and offering the skills and knowledge they need
5-Mistakes- recognize that mistakes are natural and expected... requiring compassion.. Give us the opportunity to acknowledge it... and repair the situation...by modeling this for our children, you do not have to be perfect and accepted the way you are... I'm not doing the parenting correct, I'm not doing life right... Something is wrong with me??? It's OKAY to NOT BE PERFECT!

We hold ourselves to levels of perfection... We are afraid to acknowledge the humanness of parenting. Mindfulness we practice self compassion and kindness. Don't I have to have shameful thoughts in order to step things up and change behaviors? NO... We have to be caring, compassion, inspiration and kindness....

What works is seeing things clearly so I know how to respond effectively. that's the only tool we have is our presence. Oneself... Have to include ourselves in compassion.. We need time to ourselves. Through mindfulness we find our balance what is right for us...

Mindfulness Meditation: Being in the present moment. Concentrating on the right here right now. Don't try to be two or even one step ahead... Look at the present moment... Anxiety: What if??? I wish I'd had::: Letting go of the What if's of the Future... Be 100 percent.... Where does one start?

Eating Meditation... Take a piece of food and very slowly eat it... Notice the food in your mouth. taste it. What is the tongue doing. What is your cheeks doing? Mind doing? What about the saliva? Smell? Look? feel? hear? Taste? Food is easy to practice because you always have to eat...'

What can derail you from mindfulness: What can bring you back? Practice everyday. for at least 10 minutes daily. Less likely to panic. practice. Need a good night sleep.

Helps in so many areas... feelings of regret forms when you are not present in the moment. Anxiety will becoming overwhelming- so focus on starting for 10 minutes... Meditate. Let all the restlessness go. Put the heavy weight down. Gives your mind and body a rest.

You can get measurable changes in the brain for 8 weeks and for 45 minutes a day. Awareness is Power. People feed off each other. It is nice to teach mindfulness at a young age. Let your past go and future go... Pay attention to feet on the floor, sitting in the chair, notice breath. Don't have to change breathing. Just notice it going in and out. breath in and breath out. Just be with the breath. Notice the breath. Non judgementally in the present moment- in the here and now. With whatever is happening. Meditate before important happenings. Mindfulness Meditation helps keep a calm and reduces and alleviates anxiety.

Noticing how in practice trying to make things turn out the way wanted... trying to make things be a certain way to be more peaceful, generous, helpful, compassionate... It just seemed NOT RIGHT... Something liberating in letting those feelings go.. Still feels like I have a mindfulness practice.Curiosity seeing what is.. There is nothing we are trying to do... letting the mind relax and letting the mind relax in the moment. Meditation has to be absolutely effortless. Concentrating- effort- NO... Just let go and relax...

Taking that complete effortlessness and applying it to mindfulness. Very slight intention to arrive at a particular state in arriving somewhere. Just accepting what is in the moment. Noticing - what is in my mind... Part of what is... When striving comes in... thoughts come in... part of what is... allow and accept the striving..

I don't feel compassionate and kind right now... May not feel that way- but just accept and assume be aware of what you are feeling right now... Even if the experience is striving- accept that. Do not accept resistance.. Accept that you are not accepting the moment. Letting that be... If you resist that- it persists. If I just start letting it go secretly it may want it to let it go... deeper level of really allowing to let it dissolve and accept it...

Beginners: Not to get concerned about thoughts. Meditation isn't about quieting the mind... thoughts are always going to happen... It's about attitude towards the thoughts. what the nature of thoughts are. they take us out of the moment... Start planning, whatever... Any thought- let it go... Don't judge. Gently coming back to the experience... Let the intention rest in the moment.

When your mind wanders off- notice how you bring it back.. We are training how to bring it back. There is an awareness in bringing back the mind wandering... Do not wack it back.. Just notice where the mind goes with a light curiosity instead of forcing it to come back... Simply be with that experience, feel it. Be kind...Don't be caught in the experience.

Don't try to "control" your mind... Don't completely space out... Awareness. Watching where the mind is going.. trying to watch where my thoughts are going instead of trying to stop the mind from wandering...

Introduction to Mindful Eating::

Appreciate and have gratitude for the food for getting to our homes... It's not separate- Everything is connected...

Every living being has to eat and find nourishment... When we are children. When we are hungry- we start to feel bad - low in mood- low in energy- etc. We keep reaching out to food when we feel under stress because we get low in energy.. We change up what we are hungry for--- has nothing to do with food. We begin to see these things for ourselves... Certain habits in the mind occur when we sit down with a plate of food... With mindfulness- these habits can change... example cleaning our plates... With the scope of awareness- these are just thoughts... When we think something- we often think it's true. Not necessarily so...In our reality our thoughts only have as much truth as we give them... Practice letting go of thought into letting thoughts go into the pure awareness of eating in the moment. we develop the habits when things get stressful and overwhelming-- we go back on autopilot. We revert back to our old habits. The choice to eat an entire bag of cheese balls comes from us---- not anyone else...

4 Common things people do while eating

Watch TV
Read a book
Engage in Conversation
Listen to music

the amount of food on our plates - is way in abundance than what we actually need. We also fix our plate of food when we are our hungriest. Or whoever made dinner worked hard so we got more of the food... We take our overfull plate over to the tv- and we engage in TV. We eat it all - and eat too much...this is the way we continue to keep our bad habits...If its been your habit to eat too much or too fast or with your mind on something else while eating... you will always continue these habits.

We can only change in the present... We can't change in the past... We can't change in the future. You will always continue to keep the bad habits and behaviors making bad choices - if we don't know any better way... Move your mind into the present you will continue to eat in same way you always have... Autopilot is always the same way.

Choice is only enabled through awareness. If we walk into our homes in awareness. We can choose how we show up for our families. If we eat with awareness. We choose how much to eat, where to eat and not to clean our plates. We must be present to choose....

MSBR: Week 1-

We hold ourselves to these unrealistic standards of perfection and we judge ourselves to live up to them...

Mindfulness....Paying attention in the present moment... Feeling the breath in & out of my nose. IN the past or In the present.. It can be so difficult to stay in the present. All of our minds wander. train the mind to be here where we already are...

Just being here....Judging self and everyone is part of the struggle.

What you practice grows stronger. Our repeated practice grows and grows.

Attention-learning- compassion(what we practice grows stronger)
If you meditate with judgement- you just grow judgement....

Practice meditation with love, compassion, gratitude

Shame::::::::We feel if we beat ourselves up we will improve
I'm not good enough, i'm not okay, i'm not living this life right... We shame ourselves thinking we will improve... When we feel shame- the centers of the brain that controls growing and learning shut down..Shame robs the brain of the energy it needs to do the work it needs to change

Kind attention- Dopamine- true and lasting transformation requires kind attention

Paying attention with kindness....
Kind gives us the courage it needs to see what we need to change.

"Kind Attention" Attitude and Intention

Compassion & Kindness = Hope

Change. I'm not my past actions. Transformation is possible it requires kind attention. Takes lots of practice. Pathway of kind attention can be established and grow... Every morning- put your hand on your heart and say "I love you Jen".

Stop trying to get the outcomes you long for... Start taking the steps it takes you to achieve the outcome... Don't keep up the same patterns and behaviors.

If you expect your everyday life to be free of discomfort - you will miss out on life worrying .... Sometimes it seems like once you defeat a past limitation or problem- another limitation or problem will arise in place of the one you just defeated... Let's just take things moment by moment... Mindfulness isn't a solution to problem solving... Mindfulness- is sneaking this narrative into your routine...Example: When you are taking a shower- Feel the water. When you are washing dishes; how warm is the water? What's it like to scratch at the food built up on the plate? How are the bubbles making my hands feel? Or Pick something to notice over and over again... When you lose contact with that- bring yourself back... Example Breathing...

1 bad experience can throw you off mentally-stressfully- anxiety provoking- discomfort. etc... We look at the world once in childhood the rest is memory by Louise Glick

Befriending the Body... We do not integrate mindfulness into our bodies...people are not who we think we are... We are much much more bigger or being than what we do or who we were born to. Befriend the body without it having it to change. Healing is coming to terms with the way things are... Discover things by yourself then the tides will turn.

Mindfulness is participating in the act of being alive. Being aware in the present moment. Mindfulness is the awareness that arises when we pay attention on purpose in the present moment without judgement. Wake up. Feel our breaths. Take a moment to express gratitude. Stretch.

Knowing yourself can help you not to fall into the same reactive pattern. You might have tools that help with your thinking. Stop. Ground. Step outside. Shift. See the sky. Open to nature. A few breaths. Balance. Mindfulness. This can happen many times a day- we just refocus and readjust to find the feeling again.
Tools to help with tension in the body. Rebalance- where we come into greater restorative state. Not some fixed static state.

3 qualities that are involved in mindfulness
1- attention- choosing to be awake in the moment of being alive
2- intention- the choice to do that purposeful
3- attitude- the open curiosity we bring to what we are aware of in the moment

They can have a great effect on how we feel...

Medicine can help- it has done a great deal for us... With Mindfulness we can do for ourselves. Meditation too and Yoga or Chair Yoga.

Behaviors are causing health problems.

Mindfulness might catch ourselves in our patterns or behaviors. We can handle situations differently in the moment. Recover going down the same road we always go down... Not through Judgement or condemnation... We just want to know and understand why we go down the same road or situations or behaviors/patterns.

Wakefulness. Awareness. We are only alive in 1 moment- now. We are attentive in the present moment. Deep engagement with the vitality of the moment and the appreciation of life.

People realize "I'm not alone". the brain can be shaped by our experience. People practice meditation at home and out in public... Things that might have stressed you out- might not stress you out in the same way. Reducing the effects stress might have on the body... Or the way people get lost in pain & suffering and get found in balance and ease.

Centering Thought: I am endlessly renewed in the Present Moment

Everything in nature happens in nature with lightness and easy effortlessly.

When we commit to the lightness and ease of the present moment we experience endless renewal and boundless energy. abundance

When you wholeheartedly face the burdens that challenge you- you weaken their power over you... We invite lightness and flow into our lives by being present in this moment.

there is a lightness we enjoyed as children before we experienced old wounds traumas and toxic memories.. caused by heaviness of the past. The pain of being imprisoned Leads to heavy weight, depression and relationships that lack love. We need to change to lightness these areas. 1) You are not the person you used to be.. If your old self looms over you- you must release them immediately by moving into the present moment... Changing things isn't the issue. 2) Bring the present moment to life... Only by living in present and reclaiming the energy... You can be abundant....The past loses it's grip...Because you are whole your personal energy can be light, and abundant

Feeling down changes the way the world looks.... Feeling gray is your choice.... Who in my life makes me feel bad about myself... What person makes me feel anxiety. What is my greatest source of anger and hostility? What makes me feel regret? This exercise will bring light into the shadows.... I am endlessly renewed in the present moment.

Day 1= Finding the Lightness in your Life... A Personal Journey::

Centering Thought: My struggle has ended. I am in Harmony with Myself...

Mantra: I am lightness itself

Weight takes on all kinds of meanings in our lives... Mind- Body- Spirit.
replace heaviness with vitality and a lightness.

Success lies in taking a broad view. Eating stands for many other things... than what it should. NOURISHMENT... Replacing any kind of heaviness with weightness. Heavy moods, Stress, workload. None of Burdens are necessary. Unhealthy Choices lead to heaviness. Finding a way to shed the weight frustrates many people. Excessive weight gain and poor body image does not have to cause anxiety. 2 % of dieters take off 5 pounds and keep it off...

Struggling is not necessary. If struggling worked- the battle would have ended a long time ago. lets begin a journey that lasts a lifetime... Fulfillment is the answer not filling your belly. My Struggle has ended I'm in harmony with myself!
