Well it has to be healthier than the Contrave I've just had to stop because my liver tests came back two times higher than normal. Now I have to go get an ultrasound. This is one of the side effects of this pill, so beware I wouldn't have known but I had done some blood work a month after going on the medication. I was only on the medication for 5 weeks so I hope no damage has been done to my liver.

The problem with a liquid diet for a certain number of days is that, at the end of the diet you need to go back to regular food and eating. And what have you learned to help you maintain any weight loss?

Good luck!

I will say the liquid diet is my least favorite diet. I don't feel like it is sustainable, let alone healthy. Regardless, I won't knock on anyone who chooses a path for their well being, as long as it isn't something detrimental to health (anorexia). I wish you the best in your path and hope you keep it updated!

Anyone want to join me?

In the past I have always been very successful with doing a liquid diet. Yes, the first few days are HELL and it is very hard. But after that it is really quite easy. You no longer have the cravings and your body gets rid of all the excess water from all the salt you have been eating. Plus it is very easy to plan meals as it is the same thing each and every meal. Well you can mix it up if your more ambitious than I am. I always drink the same flavor and kind of protein shake (Premier Protein / Chocolate). I have tried the other flavors and do not care for them and if you don't like them you won't drink them and this won't work for you. I allow myself 5 shakes a day (however, if I am hungry I would add more, so far this has yet to happen, most times I have a hard time getting the 5th shake in). Each shake is 160 calories so if you do 5 that is 800 calories.

PLEASE don't freak out on me, I know it may be low in calories and not for everyone. It is more less like Optifast (but much cheaper!!). When I talked with my doctor about it she said as long as I felt good and drank at least 4 shakes a day and took a multivitamin and paid attention to the way I felt (no dizziness, light headed, etc) that I should be fine. She did not recommend that I stayed on it long term.

Ok with that being said I am also doing Leslie Sansone's walk videos. Going to do at least 6 days a week. I love these and they are very easy to follow. You can rent from the library use her app or just watch off Youtube.

I will be updating each day how my day goes and how I am doing.
