Jan 06 2018 walked outside 21:52 minutes 1.05 miles.
I forgot to post my last few times I walked. I have exercised 4 days this week. That is one goal I met this week YAY!!! Now as far as the others no so much.
I some how manage to gain 2 lbs. I was 238 now as of 01/06/18 I was back up to my heaviest weight of 240 lbs (240.2lbs to be exact). I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this. tomorrow is another day and I will put this 2lbs gain behind me and fix onto this coming up week. I will learn from this week what didn't work and go from there.
I think for this week goals will be.... 1. try to lose 1-2lbs. 2 .try to cut back on sweets (my drug sweets/sugar). Maybe have one day I can eat them if I want to. 3. try to drink 64-128 ozs of water a day 4. try to workout 4-5days this week.
Hi Sherry, Your story is a lot like mine and I suspect like a lot of us. I started Christmas day when I got a Fitbit. I'm watching my food intake and walking 5500 steps a day. I started at 5000 but upped it when it was too easy. I guess I'll have to up it again soon as I have only lost 1 lb. I have a problem with sugar, too. Mostly if it involves baked goods and chocolate. Even tracking my food and doing more exercise than I have in weeks, it still has resulted in just one pound. It is discouraging but I want to keep going. Even if I don't lose much, I'll be in better shape.
I was going to start this jan 1 but everyone does, so I wanted to be different. Today I have exactly 10 months before my birthday so that is why I decided to start today.
My game plan is to kinda of simple.... 1. exercise no less than 30 minutes- 4-5 days a week. 2. watch what I eat, make smarter/healthier food choice. Cut back way back on the junk food. 3. Drink my water 64-128 ozs a day. 4. Sleep 6-8 hours a night. 5. Journal/track it all. Each month I might change it up some. It's all subject to change, what works or what not. This month is starting at it slow, so I will stick with it instead of jump head first into it. Doing that will make me stop after while and I'm looking for the long haul for something I can do for life.
Jan 2018 goals are To lose 1-2 lbs a week. To exercise 4-5 days a week. To make hearthier choice on eating. The one food that I'm going to work on cutting back on is..... sweets/sugary stuff. My drug sugar the bad kind. I know this is not going to be easy. I can do this. I have to do this. I have named this journal Sherr's story cause it's my story but I would love to hear from everyone on what works or don't work for them. I might change the name of this journal if I think of a better one. I'm off here to make my story happen. My starting weight 238 lbs.
