January 20th, 2018:

Wow...I completely got sidetracked from this journal. That is no bueno.

After the new year, my nutrition and exercise improved, and I ended up losing more weight. But this past week, it took a nose dive once again, because I was just....so...BUSY! Next week it will be better.

I'm a part of the 5% challenge, and I really want to reach that goal, but I'm not going to do anything extreme just to get there. If I don't make it, I'll count my progress as a win, and continue my journey. 9 pounds gone already! I still have a way to go, and my progress has been a little slow, but I am still making positive changes, and doing okay.

All the best on your journeys,

Misha

December 25th - 28th, 2017,

It's almost 2018! Can you believe it? I certainly can't. One of my roommates lost their job, and I have been stressing over how we are going to make rent, since he was the breadwinner of the household. I was doing a lot of art as well, so my nutrition kind of went out the window. I will be focusing on getting back on track and maintaining my healthy habits through the next year, though. Wish me luck?

I'm working on a pretty big piece. It was supposed to be a Christmas/Holiday picture, but now I think it's just gonna be a winter-themed art piece.

Enjoy!

emoticon December 17th-24th, 2017:

I'm not going to go through everyday and list all of the things I ate. I got a little off track with this journal. But I am pleased to say that I barely got off track with my foods. Had a couple of days where it was a close call, but I stuck it out, and did well this week.

I really need to focus on eating more fruits and vegetables. I'm starting to develop healthier eating habits, but it all falls apart if I do not partake in the green stuff. This next paycheck, I plan to stock up on fruits and veggies. It's gonna be like a farmer's market in my kitchen!

Merry Christmas everyone! emoticon

Mood: Energized
Sleep: 5.5 hours

Exercise:
- Normal walking on my patrols.
- Running up the stairs 12 times to the second floor of one of the buildings I patrol.
- Bootcamp: 10-Minute Lean Legs Workout
- 30 Squats
- 30 Calf Raises
- 4 minutes of running back and forth between the two buildings at work

Water: 18 glasses of water.

Breakfast:
- 2 slices of whole wheat bread with honey peanut butter spread
- 1 Medium Gala apple

Lunch:
- 2 servings of Banquet Chicken Nuggets and Fries

Afternoon Snack:
- Yoplait Greek 100 Whips! Vanilla Cupcake

Dinner:
- Garlic Brown Sugar chicken with sauteed white onion and steamed broccoli.

Snack:
- Great Value Sugar Free Instant Oatmeal: Apple Cinnamon

Additional Thoughts:
- I purchased a scale and weighed myself. At some point in November, through all of the Thanksgiving festivities, I had gained a bunch of weight. However, this month, I am down 6.4 pounds. It feels great to see some progress. I'm going to be buying 2 2lb dumbbells and a tape measure in the morning when I am off work so that I can incorporate extra weights in my workouts and get accurate measurements on my body. Here's to progress in the next week!

All the best on your journeys,

Misha

Additional Thoughts:
- I really need to work on now getting food that is convenient, i.e from a drive-through, and actually making my meals ahead of time. It is really what is killing me. At least this time I listened to my body and stopped when I felt full instead of finishing everything and being stuffed. That is a bonus. Took a picture of my body and the way it looks right now.

Have some ways to go, but I am working on it. More in my blog.

December 10th-14th: I know I didn't track it. I've been sick the past few days, and haven't really eaten or done much.

The 10th:

Mood: Exhausted
Sleep: 8 hours

Exercise: Walking at work.

Water: 2.5 L

Breakfast:
- Keebler Town House Light Buttery Crackers with Speculoos Cookie Butter.

Lunch:
- Healthy Choice Simply Steamers; Chicken and Broccoli

Afternoon Snack:
- Yoplait Greek 100 Whips! Pumpkin Cheesecake

Dinner:
- 2 Soft Tacos from Taco Bell

Snack:
- Yoplait Greek 100 Whips! Strawberry Cheesecake

Additional Thoughts:
- I was within range of my calorie goal today. It was awesome. Unfortunately, it was hard to keep it over 1200 calories for the day. I had to supplement with some kiwi strawberry Snapple and Arizona Green Tea for the added calories. I was sick all three of my days off, so I didn't really eat all that much. Barely got 500 calories per day.

The 11th: I slept all day, and only snacked.
The 12th: I slept over 10 hours, and again, only snacked.
The 13th: Same story. I simply wasn't hungry.

The 14th:
Mood: Feeling a lot better. Still have a cough.
Sleep: 8 hours

Exercise: Hardly any.

Water: 2L

Breakfast:
- None

Lunch:
- None

Afternoon Snack:
- 1 Gala Apple

Dinner:
- Progresso Healthy Classics Chicken Noodle Soup

Snack:
- Kellogs Unfrosted Strawberry Poptarts

Drinks:
- 2 cups Pineapple Orange Juice
- 1 Large Coke from McDonald's

Additional Thoughts:
- I was feeling much better today. Actually got a little hungry around 5pm, so I ate something. I finally feel like I am doing better. Now if I can stop coughing every time I come inside from the cold after my patrols, I will be marvelous.

Hi Misha! I'm new to this site, but not journaling. I'm not a great cheerleader, as I tend to get caught up in my own stuff. Just wanted to give a bit of support on your journey. Good luck!

I just did a no-no. Instead of eating a healthy breakfast, I stopped at McDonalds to get food on my way home from work this morning. I have got to stop going for the easy food just because I am tired and pre-prepping my meals so that I have food as soon as I get home.

I've been saying for a while that I need to start eating healthier. I've been commenting all summer about how I want to lose weight. I kept putting it off, and putting it off and I suffered for it. Well I am putting it off no longer!

This journal is for me to document my journey. I want to keep track of my daily moods, sleep, and what I did that day. I'm definitely wanting to keep track of what I eat. Though it helps to use the trackers here on this website, tracking everything here will give me a better insight as to what I am doing, and maybe what I can change.

Once a month, I will track my weight, and reevaluate my goals as needed. I want this journey to be productive, and the cornerstone to building healthy habits. Basically this journal will be in the following format:

Mood:
Sleep:

Exercise:

Water:

Breakfast:
-

Lunch:
-

Afternoon Snack:
-

Dinner:
-

Snack:
-
