Day 17!! I have to say I gave in and weighed myself today. Since I have not been on the liquid diet since Sunday I was really worried what it would say but I was only up 1.3 pounds and that was fully clothed with shoes. But I have decided that I am definitely going to do another 10 days starting on Sunday. Since being off of it I can tell the difference on my eating habits. Normally I would eat just to eat and now I am not even craving anything. Plus it helped shrink my stomach so when I do eat it is not as much.

So I have missed a few days of journaling. After 11 days of liquid I decided that I should eat for a few days. I also have not weighed since I made this choice. But believe it or not I kind of miss the liquid diet.....or is it the scale a little less each day that I am truly missing? Either way I have decided to go back on the liquid diet as of tomorrow until Oct 10th and then I will go from their. Why the 10th? That is the day I go back to my diet doctor and weigh in with him and have my vitals checked. I really believe they will be very pleased with what I have accomplished in the month since they have seen me. But we will see. I also get to have a 1 month assessment with my trainer and see if I have lost any inches. Fingers crossed it will be a double blessed day.

Day 10 was another success, but I forgot to post. Now starting day 11 and I can see why people like doing this liquid diet (after the first 3 or 4 days). As of today I have lost 18 pounds. I know the first 5 pounds I lost the first day was water but that still leaves 13 pounds. Now I have been walking and doing stairs as well as strength training so this is a big part as well. I am going to incorporate food after I complete 14 days but will be eating very clean and only for 1 meal a day to start with.

Day 9!!! emoticon and I am feeling really good. OK I am a little sore in my thighs and hips from working with the trainer yesterday but they say no pain no gain and I am down .08 pounds. I am almost close enough to ONEderland to feel it. I think when I am less than 20 pounds away that is when I will feel it. Lol

Since these first 30 days with be the first time I have really tracked my progress with measurements and pictures I am kind of excited to see if I notice a difference. Once I get under 200 it is all about the way I look and not the number on the scale. It will just be so AWESOME to put a 1 as the first number when I list my weight.

And my husband asked if he could buy me a pair of jeans for Christmas. I said yes as long as you take me with you. I have such a fat gut, tummy whatever you want to call it that I mainly buy pants with elastic so that they fit half way decent. Otherwise the legs are too big as I have to buy a bigger size to accommodate my middle section.

Well today is day 8 and all is GREAT!!! I also met with my personal trainer for our 1st workout. I was so scared that I almost cancelled several times yesterday but so glad that I didn't. He added some more exercises to get my glutes working and some abs exercises and let me tell you I know that if I had not lost the 60 or 70 pounds since January I would not be able to do these as I am having a hard time now. But as with everything if I keep at it I will get better and hopefully it will help me tone and shape up. Not sure I am going to be doing any of them later today as my thighs and hips are still feeling it. But will try to get in a mile or 2 of walking.

I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday, day 6. But it was another successful day. I am not going to lie and say I don't think about food as I do. And I still have to cook dinner for my husband plus I do baking for him and his co-workers. But I am so pleased with myself that I have not touched a drop of food or any other drink. It has been my protein shake and water. Today is day 7 and it makes 1 week. I am down 12 pounds and it makes me so motivated to do another 7 days. As I start up more rigorous exercise I know that I will need to incorporated at least one clean meal into my day and I will. I do not plan on being this strict all the time but it is good right now and I am staying on track and kind of detoxing my body.

Sunday, Day 5 and all is GREAT!!! I have not cheated one time in all 5 days. I think I need to work on drinking a little more water and I am not walking as much as I had been so I am going to work on that for the next few days.

Excited to see what else the trainer has me do Wednesday. Hoping that within the 6 coming visits I get to see him that I will notice a difference. He took measurements, weight and fat on Thursday and said he would retake them in a month. Will post the difference.

I love that I can scroll the site and find quote after quote that is so inspiring, not to mention all the positive post my members.

As day 4 comes to an end I am happy to say that I had a great day. I was busy as usual with work and the grandkids so I only go some walking in. I did post a then and now picture for the first time and I was so overwhelmed with how sweet, positive and supportive everyone was that commented. It made me feel like a million bucks. In fact I am going to print it off with the comments and keep in my journal that I carry along with all my positive quotes for when I feel like I need the extra help.

Unfortunately I still only got in 4 of my 5 shakes. I think I am going to set my alarm on my phone to go off when it is time for me to drink them. The morning one is no problem but the one by 11 always seem to get missed. Since I am doing this liquid diet and not a bunch of calories it is important that I get my shakes in.

Day 3 is over and I am VERY happy to say I did not even miss food today. In fact I am not sure if I had 4 or 5 shakes. Lol But since it is important that I get all my calories in I am going to make sure I set a schedule and not let things get in the way of drinking them. I am also down 2.2 pounds this morning for a total of 7.5 in 3 days. Like I said before I am sure that 99% of my loss is water but the scale is going down and so far I am feeling good about my choice to do this liquid diet. I have not had any headaches and I have not been hungry.

I did my resistance band exercises to fire up my gluts per the trainer I met with yesterday. But I am going to get up early and go for a nice walk before I go to work and then go spend time with my grandkids.

Well Day 2 and all is GREAT!!! I only got 4 of my 5 shakes in yesterday as I was so busy with work but will do better today. In fact I have already had 3 so will do another one by 3:30 and the next about 7:30. Did not get all my water in either but you would not have know it as I felt like I had taken a water pill and had to go every 15 - 20 minutes. On the good side I was down 5.3 pounds in one day!!!! I know that it is all water as I have been eating lots of salt but it still nice to get rid of.

Did a free assessment with a personal trainer this morning, boy o boy is that a reality check as to how far I am out of shape. Sure I can walk with Leslie and Jessica but I could NOT do 1 push up!!! But as with all things I will get some good upper body strength and be able to do at least a few hopefully very soon.

Not sure how much I will be able to see the personal trainer as my budget is not that flexible but he is going to give me a price for 6 sessions and hopefully I can squeeze it in. It was nice that he also came to the house and he brings all the equipment. Today we only worked with resistant bands as we did measurements, weight, body fat etc.

I can tell you after getting thru yesterday and over half way thru today I am feeling like nothing is going to get in my way.

Well until tomorrow. emoticon

When I started on January 5th I came out of the gate smoking. But since going on vacation in July and then again in August I have not really got totally back on track. And as we all do from time to time I gave myself a pep talk and said that if I was going to achieve my goal of being in ONEderland (under 200 pounds) by the end of the year I had better get back in the saddle and get going.

So today I started what I call my 90 days to ONEderland journey. Since getting started is the hardest part for me and since I have allowed myself to eat food that I normally do not eat I am doing a liquid diet for a least the first 14 days. I spoke with my doctor and a nutritionist and they suggested Optifast 800. But it is VERY expensive plus you have to pay to to to the clinics. This is not an option for me at this time. So with the help of my nutritionist we found Premier Protein shakes which are almost exactly the same. In fact the main difference is Premier is 5% higher in most vitamins and that is it. So that is what I going to start with and see where it gets me. I will post daily and let you know how I am doing and I weigh in once a month with my doctor to make sure everything is going ok as well.

What do I have to lose but pounds?
