Wow, it's been a long time since I've journaled about my health/fitness goals and progress!

2017 Recap:
Jan 1, 2017, I weighed 200.8 lbs
Jan 1, 2018, I weighed 150 lbs.
Total loss for 2017 = 50.8 lbs

So here is my 2018 Goals:

A: Long Term Goals: To lose 25 lbs to reach my maintenance goal of 125 lbs.
I know the last 25 lbs will be the hardest.

B: Medium Term Goals: To lose 2-3 lbs a month.
I know this is not much, but I'm not looking at speed now, just slowing down for the final 25 lbs.

C: Short Term Goals: These will be more specific.
...1: Drink 8 cups of water daily.
...2: Stay true to my LCHF/Ketogenic lifestyle of less than 20 net-carbs* a day.
(*total carbs - fiber = net-carbs)
...3: Exercise 10+ minutes a day.
...4: Strength Training 10 minutes 3 days a week on Mon/Wed/Fri.

Jan 1: 200.8 lbs.

Mar 1: 167.0 lbs
I lost 10 lb last month, that's GREAT because I didn't gain any...I lost!!!


My DAILY Goals for March 2017:

1. Drink 8 cups Water.
2. Walk 10+ minutes.
3. Strength-Train 10+ minutes on Mon/Tues/Fri.
4. Eat no more than 20 Net-Carbs total for the day.
5. Get at least 7 hrs Sleep.

It's been awhile since I journaled here, but today I'm going to talk about my successes with overcoming my sugar cravings. This Ketogenic woe has helped so much. I've droped almost 32 lbs since Christmas! That's huge for me! I'm full after eating a much smaller meal and I don't snack. I still get a "bored" eating desire from time to time, but I substitute with drinking a full glass of water or grabbing a celery stick, or some low-carb veggie to snack on. Overall I'm doing good!

Wow, a whole month went by and I didn't even journal about my successes last month. It was a good month.

Jan 1: 200.8 lbs.
Feb 1: 177.0 lbs
I lost 23.8 lbs last month

This is a new year and I can do this.

Today I'm going to log or write down everything I eat and drink, not just some things, but EVERYTHING!!! Just for today. I'm going to take this slowly, one day at a time!!!

Daily Goals for DECEMBER:

2. Exercise for at least 10 minutes. ....65 min
3. Get at least 7 hrs Sleep at night..... 5 hrs, 45 min

4. Ate Low-Carb B'fast...Yes
5. Ate Low-Carb Snack.....No
6. Ate Low-Carb Lunch.....No
7. Ate Low-Carb Snack......Yes
8. Ate Low-Carb Supper.....No
9. Ate Low-Carb Snack...(No Snack tonight)
10. Stayed within my 20 net carb limit all day......No

Not a great day with my diet, but I exercised for 65 min!

Today was about as bad a day as I've had in a while. I made all these plans and had all these motivational words and phrases to keep me motivated...but alas, it was just all hot air. I really blew it, on my food, drink, exercise, pretty much everything. Oh well...Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to try harder to talk some sense into me that eating destructive food/drink is killing me!

Even though I blew it today, I AM NOT GIVING UP AT ALL. In fact, I'm going to add one more goal to my small list.

Daily Goals for DECEMBER:
1. Drink 8 cups of water.
2. Exercise for at least 10 minutes.
3. Stay within my 20 net carb limit daily.

So far today, I've eaten clean and drank some water but have yet to take my walk...

...walking for AT LEAST, but not limited to 10 minutes a day. = 82 minutes!

Most real, long term successes start out small and slow. I don't mean the kind that cause the roller-coaster effect, but that last a lifetime. So I'll only start with 2 little goals.

My Beginning Plan for Success...
...drinking 8 cups of water a day
...walking for AT LEAST, but not limited to 10 minutes a day.

That's all for starters....and until those goals are so a part of my life that they're habits, I'll not set any others for now. Believe me, just making the water thing a habit is going to be very hard for me!!! But here's to more water and more movement!!!

It will be in this journal, that I'll keep tabs on my journey to Small Successes.
Today will be DAY 1
