tomorrow is five months since I broke my femur and I'm still having PT and also pain. But I'll get there. I'm starting back on my diet to lose weight as I'll have to work the diet so I get enough protein to still heal my leg and watch the calories so I get the fat off.
Went back to Ward Dean M.D. for my Metformin, Bydureon (a weekly shot), and Armour Thyroid and Acarbose. My femur is still giving me a hard time especially when I drive and when I first get up and stand. Have a doctor's appt. with the ortho next week. They say it takes 18 months to 24 months to heal. Doing the exercises every day. Weigh 147#.
When I did the hCG Diet I released 17# in 47 days, so I can see the difference on this diet now with Metformin, Armour thyroid and Bydureon. I know this time I'll be able to keep the weight OFF because I will continue to see the doctor each month. I plan to lose about 32# yet.
Day 27 Down 19# but still have 4# to go to be back to the 160 where I had been two years ago. I can't wait to finally move my tracker as I haven't done it in all that time. This is just the weight that slowly came back on and I couldn't keep it off. I'm on Metformin, Victoza (a shot) and Armour Thyroid. NO HUNGER. Dr. gave me Bontril and I only took one since I didn't need it. Haven't cared about eating. Have been tired, but I know I will get this fat off once and for all and I'll feel so much better not carrying this gut around. See the doctor on Wednesday. My last blood sugar test was 115# and the Navy doctor said "Well, you don't need Metformin since diabetes starts at 126." Right.
Day 21 No hunger and so glad I found a doctor who FINALLY put me on Metformin, Victoza (a shot), Acarbose, Armour Thyroid, and Bontril (but I haven't needed that since the first day) and Lasix (I took only one pill and my swelling is all gone.)
Day 18. Getting the fat off with Metformin, Acarbose, Victoza, and Armour Thyroid. Finally found a doctor who understands my Insulin Resistance/Metabolic Syndrome and didn't tell me like the others "Well, at your AGE you can't expect to lose any weight now."
Went to Dr. Dean and went to the pharmacy to get all the medications, so I'll start the diet tomorrow. I know I will succeed this time. He charged $75 and it was $17 for the medicine that the Navy Pharmacy didn't carry.
