It really is the hardest thing! Completing my first 5K was easier. There was never a moment during it where I thought "I'm not sure if I can do this..." But that's how I feel every time I see junk food that I can't fit into my meal plan for the day but really, really wish I could. Well, hopefully the more it happens, the better I'll get at resisting.

As you hold on... as long as you do what's in your heart... I believe you can do the right thing.

I live with family and do my best to let them make their own dietary choices while I make mine. I figure my diet, my responsibility. Well, it gets difficult sometimes, like when they make a batch of peanut butter chocolate brownies and leave them out in the kitchen for anyone to take whenever...

Now, usually I'm all for allowing myself a small portion of something like that, but for one thing, I already planned out my meals for the day and brownies did NOT fit into that plan. For another, I overate that very same kind of brownie for three days in a row last week after deciding to "just have a little..."

So, learning my lesson this time, I decided no brownies for today. Maybe a small, planned portion for dessert tomorrow. But for today, I'm having Greek yogurt with a bit of cocoa powder and a golden kiwi instead. I don't have a great track record of successfully resisting cravings, but I think I'm in the clear on this one so that feels like something to celebrate! emoticon
