Congratulations! That is a wonderful accomplishment. I just recently entered the normal BMI range after losing 60 pounds in 4 years. I am at the very upper end of the range but it has been almost 30 years since my BMI was normal.

SLASALLE, Thank you so much for writing friendly encouragement of congratulations. It means a lot that you took the time to write. I'm over in a remote area of northern Ghana, and didn't have ....well, anyone, really, to celebrate the news with, when after a year I finally went over to the local clinic and climbed on the scales. I haven't really be trying to lose weight (while here), - it's just that there is little to eat here, so meals are very small. Also, it's so hot that one doesn't feel much like eating. Anyway......THANK YOU for your words of encouragement. Please let me know if I may encourage you, too! With thanks-
