I've never thought of going completely sugar free but I have been pop free (Diet and regular) for about 5 years now. Yesterday went better but my son came over with a homemade pumpkin pie last night - I didn't have any.

Congratulations on avoiding sugar!!!
I have been sugar-free for many years and no longer miss it. I also avoid starches and grains. I am not on the Keto Diet but am doing a diet that is similar to the Paleo diet.

Thanks for the encouragement. Sounds like your doing great. I'm not that familiar with the keto diet, I just know that concentrated simple sugar gives me trouble and leads to binge eating for me. Yesterday went much better. No sugar.

emoticon I'm with you, once I made up my mind to do Keto (NO Sugar) I went to my kitchen and through away my bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and anything that was high in carbs (I could do this because it's just my husband and me). Don't worry I kept the things he really likes and he's fine with it. Then I made my list of allowed meats, veggies and condiments and off to the grocery store I went.

I did this last Sat. 10/25/19 So far, my morning readings of Blood Sugar have dropped from 250s to the 140s, and I have lost 3.4 pounds in just a few days.

Having a really hard time with the sugar lately. Yesterday I cleared out my stashes that I had hidden here and there and finally got rid of all of them. That was hard to do but I did it. WooHoo.
