I have made changes in the amount of sugar I consume. Sugar is everywhere, as we all know! I'm not one of those people who can have NO SUGAR 100%. If I deprive myself, then I want it more than ever. My biggest strategy was to eat fresh fruit when I wanted sugar.
I've been carrying my last pesky 15-20 pounds for so many years now. I started being very mindful of sugar consumption, logging everything I ate and here I am ... 4 pounds from my goal weight. I haven't weighed this little in over 15 years.
This is all with the LEAST amount of exercising I've done in quite awhile. Guess what they say about weight loss being 80% diet, 20% exercise is true, at least for me.
Don't misunderstand. I do work out, but not nearly as much as I used to (I had a knee injury) and only small bouts of strength training.
I firmly believe that sugar is the major contributor to our society's obesity problem.
