SIBLEYN,

Welcome to Spark People !

The other two members who've replied are correct. The Spark community and even the Spark coaches aren't qualified to answer your questions. No one here is qualified to answer specific medical questions about anyone.

If you're in pain, you need to talk to your doctor. Ask them to take the time to address your questions and concerns. Your doctor knows more about you and your medical history. They are best qualified to help you. Not the well meaning, but totally anonymous members of a weight loss website.

You are dealing with a lot. Kris is right. You need to have this medical discussion with the involved medical doctors. I know the possibilities and unknown are scary but knowledge is power so ask them your questions.

I sympathize with you but SP is not the place to come to for this information. We are not qualified and any thoughts we have on the subject could be dangerous to you if you were to act on them. You need to discuss this with your Drs.

Good luck,
Kris

Well, I had nissen fundoplication and hiatal hernia in 2015. I started having bad reflux again in Jan 2018 3 months after a tummy tuck. Yesterday my GI Doctor says I have a hiatal hernia, now i am scared. He upped my antacid medication, I called my surgeons to ask to see them and had my GI Doctor send the surgeons my records. My stomach feels like it is burning up but all he brought up was the hiatal hernia and said he does not know what is producing all the acid as it is a small hernia. The tummy tuck Doctor wants to fix something he missed, can these two surgeries be done at some time if they decide to do them ? Also, what would be my options ? I am concerned the acid may be damaging the interior lining of my stomach but the Doctor did not say anything about this.
