Hi Eowyn,

This sort of thing has happened to me when I have travelled, and as careful as I try to be with wrapping my toiletries in plastic ziplock bags and taping the caps, I think the air pressure of the planes still cause some spillage. So now I expect it and don't get as upset about it anymore. There are worse things to be upset about. I have found that most of the expensive cleansers I have tried don't do any worse or better than less expensive ones. I don't go for the hype anymore. Now I use the ones which have worked well for me over the years.

I have also found that what does well for my skin is drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun, and eating lots of fresh fruit. I recognize that you have some restrictions with this due to your health condition. I have found that what I put on the inside reflects on the outside more than cosmetics or toiletries.

Best wishes,

Ditto to what Kris and Arch said. Having a little spillage of an expensive something is what we here in the US call a "first world problem".

I honestly wish you would get this upset over the garbage you choose to eat. It makes me sad.

KIWI is right.

Do you want to know how to have younger looking skin ? Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veggies. Eating junk food will make you fat AND it makes you look OLD.

Eating a healthy diet will help you to look years younger. No need to pay for expensive creams !

I never buy face cleanser or any other of that type of product. I don't use soaps either. Expensive doesn't make better. I use Emulsifying ointment and make it up by melting a bit down and adding a fair bit of cold water and some lavender oil and blitzing it with a wizz stick. I makes a lovely cleanser and an excellent moisturizer. When I get some lavender, I am going to also pick some rosemary and add it to lots of water and bring to the boil, then let it seep, and use that water rather than the plain water and oil. It really is very refreshing and does a wonderful job. It is sooooo cheap, too :-)

These things happen all the time to us all. No need to be upset. And if you are still upset because you lost some of the cleanser, I recommend going outside and taking a walk. The fresh air will do you some good.

Plus taking a walk will help you get in your 5,000 steps for the day.

I just started using an expensive new facial cleanser. I just brushed my teeth when I noticed a whole lot of cleanser had leaked out of the tube! About 2 week's worth! I noticed the cap was loose. But I don't even know why it was loose as I don't remember opening it and I am always so careful with my toiletries and stuff in general.

Now I am soooooo upset!!!! What an absolute waste! It was fine this morning!
