We can't undo what has been done! Also, don't go beating yourself up. One night's chow down isn't going to affect the long-term results.

I actually believe that what happened, (so long as it is an occasional event) can actually help us because then there isn't the sense of deprivation.

That's right !

One over indulgent meal or even weekend's worth of overeating will make or break your healthy lifestyle. The truth is this, there will be days you eat more than others. It's going to happen. as long as it doesn't happen every day, things DO have a way of balancing out.

Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day and neither were you. If it took years to gain the weight, it's going to take some time to get it off.

One thing I will recommend is that you try to find ways to vent your stress that don't involve food. If you're upset, sit and sip a cup of tea. Put on your coat and take a long walk. go to the gym and enjoy a group exercise class. Those are siple things you can do that will help reduce your stress.

I veered off of my plan last night with emotional eating on ice cream. Today, determined to get back on track with food and routines. just need to get back to basics and forgive myself for trying to self soothe with food.
