It sounds like you're doing all the right things right now. Good for you! Let us know what happens at your appointment. You probably won't know for a while. They'll have to run tests. But hang in there, and be patient! Some things take a little time.

We can't give advice on how to cope with it, in part because there has been no actually diagnosis. If it is diverticulitis, or other digestive tract condition, you are best to ask your Dr to refer you to a Registered Dietitian who will be able to help you.

What you will find helpful is keeping a diary of what you eat and when, and any symptoms, including the time in relation to eating, and also record stress levels because that can influence abdominal pain.

One of the best ways of covering all of those is to weigh your food for increased accuracy and enter everything that passes your lips into the Tracker. Attached to the Tracker is a Daily Note function. Use that for your diary. When you go to your Medical/Dietitian appointments take printouts from "Today's Full Report" because then it will print out your food and your Daily Notes. Your Dietitian will find that time-saving and invaluable where it comes to helping you.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck,
Kris

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Best to always receive medical advice from your primary care physicians as they know your complete medical history better than anyone. Good luck with your appointment. I hope your pain is resolved soon.

Be well,
Kelly

I've been having an intermittent belly ache for a few days now. When it kicks in, it's very painful. I went to the urgent care last night, and they suspect diverticulitis. I will see my PCP later today. Any advice for coping with this?
