I know it's totally exasperating, but it is only one pound. One. It's not thirty. Again, I totally get it, but don't let it "eclipse" what you have accomplished. Just had to get that word in on this eventful eclipse day! Spark On!

Eliminate "I will try". Replace with "I will".
You are now ready to succeed.
Let's go.

You gained a pound - as others have said, just be "good" and measure and track and you'll drop it. What's important is not to let 1 pound become 2, 2 become 3 etc.

Good for you. Weight fluctuates sometimes even without having a really bad weekend, but the important move is getting back on track, and that is what you are doing. Congratulations.

1 lb is minimal - don't let it get you down. Numbers can fluctuate on an off throughout this journey. Just keep you eye on your future, your commitment to yourself, and your focus on what you have already achieved. If you do that - you'll be just fine!!

Anna,
I agree with ARCHIMEDESII. It is the overall journey that matters, not a small diversion.

One pound gain over the weekend is more like food in transit, it really can't be 1 pound of body fat.

Anna,

One over indulgent meal or even weekend's worth of overeating WILL NOT make or break your healthy lifestyle. You ate the food. You log the food. You move on. If you were to eat right 5 out of 7 days this week, you'd still be doing better than the average American.

If you gained weight, it's nothing more than the physical weight of the food/water you had over the weekend. It's a fluctuation that will pass in a few days.
