On this last day of the decade, I am so thankful and grateful for all of this, yet so much more:

-Yucks gone! (not sure if allergies or cold, but haven't sneezed once today, and minimal blowing)
-Short (20-min), easy cardio last night to not push my body, just in case
-Second shingles vaccine shot off my list
-Catching the last 3-5 minutes of a gorgeous sunset last night from the 9th Floor of my office, sharing the appreciation with co-worker friend
-Two dear friends coming to the house tonight to play games, have snacks and a glass of wine and/or prossecco
-No New Year's resolutions for me, but plans and goals in mind, for sure
-Friend inquiring about a New Year's Day hike - I'm in, of course!!
-This amazing practice and my gratitude friends, who will continue to be part of my life in 2020

-Feeling better today than yesterday (hoping sneezing/blowing yucks are on the way out)

This morning I am grateful for:

1) The few extra minutes that I got to sleep in this morning.
2) It's my last day of work for the year (and I don't have to come back until 01/05/20! emoticon)
3) I managed to get my last gift/package shipped off for Christmas. No more trips to the post office except to drop off Christmas cards--and that's a quick in and out trip!

-Having a job that's a fairly short drive from home (10-15 minutes)
-The multitude of holiday lights I saw driving home last night
-A solid Survivor TV workout night (I didn't get the second hour of the 2-hour finale in; saving it for tonight and another workout!)
-Everything I need to get great workouts in right in my own family room
-The best little workout buddies I could ask for; last night I had Rosie fetching her toy between my strength exercises, with Cleo chasing the laser light (Cassie chose to exercise her eyeballs - open/close, open/close). Ha!

This morning I'm grateful for:

-My favorite night of the Luminary Walk being last night
-The event chair spotting the mitten I dropped while snuffing candles & going back out with the cart to retrieve it (my mother gave me the mittens two years ago and they're perfect for candle-lighting gigs)
-The hazy, still near-full moon slipping in and out of fat clouds gathering the snow they're showering us with this morning
-Getting 22,000+ steps in
-Watching big flakes of snow slowly drifting down through the window of my home office while pondering gratitude
-Rosie making over 40 fetches yesterday with her toy ... a new record
-A snow day at home, nowhere to be, plenty of food and tea and three awesome kitties to snuggle in with ... aaaaaaaaah
-Working at home tomorrow

This morning I'm grateful for:

-My all-in-one HP computer coming back to life last night when I thought it was a goner (went to charge my FitBit and heard a pop, followed by black screen)
-This week has been very stressful at work; FitBit says I slept 9.5 hours not moving ONCE ... (my body taking care of me when I went to bed an hour early)
-Listening to my body and cutting myself slack last night on working out because I was so tired; tonight IS the night (and I'm plenty rested)
-The standing stations set up on my floor, heading there when done here
-Don Miguel Ruiz's "The Four Agreements" strikes again ... such a good tool
-Ordering a cute Siamese holiday kitty pillow for my 4-legged nephews from their cousins Cassie, Cleo & Rosie
-Having everything I need at home for all kinds of workouts, such a privilege

• success with early sleep plan for today's 6am pickleball plan
• FB fun
• recently finding ways to use cardio machines that not only really help my fitness but that I also actually enjoy (I used to dislike rowing machines, treadmills, ellipticals, etc.)
• Lucy enjoying her new, different, dry food
• library book: The Art of Dying Well

Wow! I swear I already posted my gratitude list earlier. I guess here I go again!

Today I'm grateful for:

-Planks, in many variations, that don't mess with my back and really strengthen my core, one of my "go to" moves
-A lovely dinner last night with a dear, sweet friend just to make sure we got together around Thanksgiving to celebrate our friendship
-Continued compliments on weight loss, so motivating, though I've stopped losing weight (intentional) for a couple of months now
-Sunshine and warmer temps (mid 50s) again today
-Our company holiday party being earlier again this year (tomorrow)
-Cassie, Cleo and Rosie, who get more and more snuggly during colder days (and nights), except for when they trap me! Ha!
-NO PLANS tonight, so I can try for a Survivor workout night - yay!

This morning I'm grateful for:

-Minimal exercise yesterday, but still getting a really solid night of sleep
-Cleo sleeping curled up at my hip all night long
-Packing a healthy breakfast, then setting it aside for tomorrow as we had a Board meeting and got the leftover breakfast (lots of cut up fresh fruit included)

As always, our steadfast Rebecca starts us off on a new month and I bow in gratitude ...

Happy December to each of you - Rebecca, GBoomer and all others!

On this first morning (barely) of December, I'm grateful for:

-New beginnings
-Sitting here with 2 kitties curled up next to me, all of us listening to the wind howl, watching the bushes in the back yard dance, as I contemplate my life and a new month
-My beloved Arboretum Luminary Walk last night; very windy, but I was in my favorite location in a valley deep in the woods, protected by lots of trees, so the hand-lit candles weren't getting blown out by the wind
-The amazement and enchantment provided by little slivers of dancing light from the luminaries guiding the way down the path to the next treasure
-The whining winds carrying the sweet melodies of the Native flute through the trees; the same flutist (Larry Daylight) returns each year because, like me, it's done out of love
-Warming my hands over burning barrels, the earthy smell of firewood filling my head
-Hot, local Louisburg Apple Cider (donated) served by boy scout troops
-Walking nearly 20,000 steps, over 8 miles, pretty much on the move for 6+ hours, bending over lighting candles, patrolling the paths and re-lighting/replacing candles, and feeling great today
-This amazing body of mine; I felt a HUGE difference from last year in my physical abilities and realized it was likely because I'm carrying 25 less pounds!
-Replenishing my muscles with a good 15 minutes of stretching when I got home
-Not moving once for over 8 hours of sleep ... imagine!
